Clyde is just taking off on a well deserved break. He's such a good dad...he gives Bonnie extra time off the nest and never makes a peep!
Tigger is a really sweet cat, but to be honest, I think his posing days are over! He was very cooperative in the past when he lived in Sugar Mill Gardens, and knew that posing would somehow ensure some kind of food reward, but now that he gets plenty to eat, his tolerance of the camera is limited! He still loves visitors, though, and everyone who comes over to my house is immediately greeted by him, meowing, preening, and drooling from happiness! (Yes, cats drool when they're content. Yuk.)
Right now, he's laying curled up against my bed pillow, something I haven't been able to break him of, but he looks so cute that I can't shoo him! It's almost bedtime, so all the cats, Barrymore and Squeegee, too, are assembled right next to me, waiting for their nightly tuna. So, goodnight for now!

On the way back from Hinsdale I heard 589 talking to B-17, so I knew I didn't have much time. I got to the Bensenville station just in time to pop off this shot. A couple blocks later the engineer student put it in notch 8 and they took off like a rocket.

the moment just after the winch has started to pull them down the runway, you can just see it attached underneath, and we have lift off. The rape seed fields were starting to come into flower too.....Burn Gliding Club, Selby, Yorkshire, UK. 2016.
Not the best effort in selective colourisation and background blur. It just kind of looks like it's hanging there in a ghostly manner. Oh well.

I kicked my shoes off on the bus to coolidge the other day, and I though it looked cool enough to take a picture. I spend way too much time on busses. For real.
I was shooting without a flash that night, but someone else's flash went off at the exact moment I took this shot - the accidental off-camera lighting worked out great!

this Vulcan bomber crash landed at Wellesbourne years ago and even though it is one of the few working Vulcans left it has bean unable to leave because the airport runway is to small. but today was the first day I have ever seen it almost take off.
