It was a sunny day, and the Queen Elizabeth Park rose garden called. I don't know most of the flower species names, but they sure are pretty!
New Hampshire Northcoast's D7 job, complete with the matching green set, swings off the District 2 main line and onto NHN's own trackage at Rollinsford. Work at Somersworth and Rochester lies ahead before arriving at The Pit in Ossipee for loading.
It was sitting very nicely on the balcony rail and took off as I hit the shutter. It's only about the 2nd or 3rd time I've caught a bird in flight!
Maybe better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.

UP 5497 leads a 6x0 stack westbound as it starts the slow descent down the infamous Cima grade. The train is captured draped over the summit of the grade, it's all down hill for the next 51 miles to Crucero CA.
We are flying tomorrow, I will have intermintent internet access next week. I would love to take Nubia with me but she's too delicate to be carried in a bag all day long!!
Of the three mornings that I awoke early to capture this scene. The first morning was the best. Hallstatt, Austria has been on my list for years. Image made with a Pentax K 1.

Somedays I feel like I am a bit off kilter. Today is not one of them though :)
I may not always get to "thank you" or comment back on a comment that you might leave here on my image but, just know each comment is read and very much appreciated.
A landscape format version of a photo I took recently of a skier at Alpe d'Huez in the French Alps.
Although it doesn't especially look like it, this is a full colour photo. I did do a b&w conversion but felt that this original colour one had more depth.

The road coming down from Engineer Pass at 12,800 ft is a little steep. What a great off roading adventure driving the 65 mile long Alpine Loop Raod. Where you pass two mountain passes over 12,000 ft. High clearance 4x4 required!
