This is a re-take of a shot I took many years ago. The one at the beginning of my stream was pre digital and scanned into the stream. I wanted to re do it with a digital camera. it is pretty close to the original.

This veggie dish, along with a dip I concocted by mixing ranch dressing with vinegar, is how I start every evening meal. Of course, then it's all meat 'n' taters, but at least I get off to a healthy start, even if it's all down hill from there. This is the first time I've added tomatoes to the dish, and once I did, it suddenly became quite photogenic, almost too pretty to eat.

I didn't have a chance to even think today so I'm using a picture of this great old building I took in fall using a very lame new york as my N representation I edited yesterday. A little tidbit...Harlem was once the place of the rick folk in years past, and the buildings and architecture reflect that. It would be an excellent place for photos...I just wouldn't want to walk the streets with a good camera!
We had quite a time today trying to decide just how to express the quality of masculinity. I took many photos with my friend being the model for masculinity. I finally decided this was the best way because being masculine means that you are strong enough to be gentle.

(PS. In answer to all the comments below on how to get these rings apart..... They do not come apart. It is a napkin/serviette ring, and the three rings are welded closed and intertwined.)

In Round 23 of "Get Pushed" I was paired with Simon Hucko. He originally challenged me to take a portrait of my 92 year old mother, who I am currently caring for in Lincolnshire. and with whom I am consequently rather house bound. Unfortunately my mother is quite crippled and is very proud and self conscious, and I knew she would not allow that. Simon was very flexible when I explained this, and when I suggested I adapt his challenge to take a 'portrait' of my mother's hands instead, he agreed. Thank you, Simon.
"A portrait of her hands sounds great. .. I noticed that most of your photos are of objects, and when they are of people they tend to be more street/candid style, so I figured a portrait would be a good push. Hands are very expressive and can tell a great story all by themselves, so I think that would be a great shot for you to take. Looking forward to the result."
He is right I do not take a lot of portraits, though I have been challenged a couple of times in this group to do so. ( See my get Pushed set..)
Here is the second of my efforts to meet this challenge.
Thanks for the push, Simon, and for being flexible with me. I hope you like the results.
If this is what they serve in heaven, I’m gonna start changin’ my ways right now in hopes that maybe I can get a ticket up there some day. When this magnificent culinary creation was placed before me, I just had to photograph it, and luckily I had a little pocket sized 3mp Nikon Coolpix 3100 with me in the restaurant. And, don’t any of you dare mention calories, or fat, or cholesterol, or clogged arteries, or obesity, or any other of those party-pooper kinda words. I ate every last morsel of this three years ago, and I’m still here to tell about it. So there!
