1940's Rare Pre-War Campagnolo Schwinn Superior Track Pista Bicycle serial # B19 - $600 (Northbrook)

Extremely Rare! 1940's Schwinn Superior track bicycle. This bicycle got redone in the 70's and during that time they put on the 70's decals. The serial number is B-198 which is pre-war. It is a family bike, our uncle road for team Schwinn in the 70's. During that time he bought this bike and prepped it for casul races. The bike is equipped with campagnolo components (hubs, crank, seat post ect) there is also a Titan neck stem, cinelli bars, and cinelli seat. The bike originally came with wood wheels but we do not have those. This is a beautiful and rare bike and we would like to see it go to Some one as passionate about bikes as our uncle was. Feel free to ask questions and come see the bike.

Walking round the Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden this afternoon we came across these wonderful leaves, with one determined to declare it Autumn ahead of the pack.
Taken with a Nikon D90 and 28mm Nikkor lens.

This odd Blackbird has been a regular visitor in our garden. It appears to be a female moulting into a male. Its an adult bird and not a juvenile moulting into adult plumage. If it was a juvenile it would have a more mottled head, the primaries should be brown and its bill should be dark, not attaining the yellow colour till much later in the year. Any comment would be most appreciated.
These strange looking trees are oaks. They're pruned this way. It's my guess that this is done to produce a maxium quantity of acorns which are gathered to feed the hogs that become their famous hams.
