The Independent Order of Odd Fellows, a fraternal organization, was first established in the United State in 1819. This building was the organization's first hall in New York City.
I say a little more about the Odd Fellows Hall on my New York City Landmarks blog, The Masterpiece Next Door.

I have problems with both hands, nerve damage (but that is another story - two hand surgeries so far, plus one shoulder rebuilt), so I kind of have a hard ime on the wheel when making pottery, so I tend to like slab contruction - but if I make a piece and it goes south, I keep it anyway - so I have lots of odd shaped, little bowls and vases - it will be a few weeks before these are glazed.

Here is another odd sleeping position. Ozzy seems to be slabbed out on and off his doggy bed. It cracks me up when I see this. There was barely any light in the room, so I had to shoot at this ridiculously high ISO and I think the Sony did damn well for it.

Spotted this, arriving into Cambo. It's a dolphin, which is the Trevelyan family (who remodelled the village in the late 19th century). And the Latin motto "futuri haud immemor oevi", means "not unmindful of future generations". Thanks to www.geograph.org.uk/photo/147504 for the detail.

From the awesome and amazing "Pirate Supply Store" at 826 Valencia, Street, in San Francisco--an assortment of cool dice, including the big "Hokey Pokey" dodecahedron! There is also a "who-what-when-how" dice for budding journalists; a directional dice for those who need a ;point in the right direction; a Roman Numeral dice, and a pair of Pirate dice (of course) in red and white with skull and crossbones on the snake eyes sides!

gift bag with no label... it may sound odd but I don't talk about my work to people. other than a few friends, family, flickr'rs I rarely tell people what I do. I made this cool little gift bag to fill with goodies for a white elephant party and keeping with my quirky ways, didn't put a label in it. I get 0 points for networking... that's for sure.
so I have been watching this odd couple for a few weeks and tried to work out what in Gods name was going on.
They are totally inseparable, with the Greylag the more aggressive of the two, chasing everyone away including a Magpie that's probably just as confused as me. this second of many photo's show the odd couple mating, this should be interesting to watch over the summer, will they have Canlags, or Graynadas who knows... more photos to follow
