"The world's largest Sunday school" occupies several blocks behind the church; here's the sign-language section, housed in an old terra-cotta Odd Fellows hall. (The Odd Fellows are a benevolent society, not unlike the Masons and Lions but with a cooler name.)

This structure is about two feet tall and was built in front of the bunker mounds. It wasn't clear who built it or what its purpose is.

NS 8104 and FXE 4044 hang around the bend with BNSF train U-NSWEPP in the West Side of Chicago IL.
I went birding on Jan 2 at the Lee Metcalf NWR to get my year bird list started. I found a family of five of these odd birds -- unusually active for late afternoon.

An old style bike fastened to a lamp post and low fence. For Fence Friday.
In the very old days you even needed a permit to cykle in town.
Your bike had to have a number plate, but you don't need one now. It finished in the late1950s, but you still see the odd bike with its numberplate. (In Sweden)
