Say hello to Julitta again!

Ever tried to use the Tiltshift mode of a Leica Q? It's not easy, but once you make it work, it's just great.

During the #OctoberChallenge I'll try to show photographs that were shot only with the Leica Q.

Powderham Castle, Kenton....Autumn, Early morning (6.30am) capture. Phone from camera download (I'll get myself together to upload direct at some point this week!)

This spider has his web on the conservatory window between the two side bars so I had to squash up against the widows to get this angle, trying hard not to touch the web and make him run. Image rotated 90 degrees.

A break in the recent downpours meant a rush to the beach this morning to blow the cobwebs away.

2011 October Challenge Winning image.

A return to the beech avenue to see how the colours are coming along

I hadn't done my photo for today, and noticed some white backlit clouds up the field. Dash out, but they'd gone time I got there. Instead a double exposure of the red sky and a street scene.

Photo 11/10 for October picture a day.

1 October. Another October Challenge. The fields are cultivated and sown with minimal-tillage

Photo 78 for the 117 Pictures in 1017 Group - Prongs.

Also photo 19/31 for the October Picture a day Group. Mixed Veg.

The red maple is coming into its own now.

A bit stuck for ideas and time today... so here's a sunset.

Goodrington sands. Paignton.

I had only 30 minutes to do the 'shot of the day' for the October Challenge. Time to fall back on an old favourite!

This has been deselected as the shot of the day. I think this is more artistic.... the other is more interesting in terms of detail and if you know Dawlish.

A Virgin Express train blasts through the Kennaway Tunnel leading to Dawlish Station. Y'see! I've got the train spotting anorak to go with the photography one....0.50 second exposure, no filters... but I did remember to bring my tripod this time View On White

Photo 16/31: October picture a day

Not much time for photos today, so a very quick walk out for photo No. 18/31 October Picture a Day.

An audience to watch the shoot

Selective colour pop cartridges

Half past eight and no photo taken yet for October Picture a day, so I turn to a recent acquisition, a Spice Ball. I've found a new recipe I like but it has a lot of peppercorns in it. I like the taste, but not eating them or picking them out of my meal.

Amazing moon rising over the Exe Estuary

Small boys exploring the coastline... happy days. Yesterday we had a morning shot in full colour and today we have the reverse.

A photo outing to Bradgate Park this afternoon with my friend. Not much rutting going on and this one never moved from this spot in the 3 hours I was there and was much photographed by everyone who passed by.

Photo 04/10 for the October picture a day challenge.

8 October. It rained a lot today..... not terribly helpful, and I was pretty busy. I managed to grab a shot of my favourite spinney when I was down near Lifton, West Devon.

The stars came out to twinkle over the town of Exmouth

A quick shot tonight for the October, A month in Pictures group. It was going to be a water shot tonight, but maybe that'll make an appearance later in the month.

8 October. Time for a panorama of South Devon. Centre right is Haytor on Dartmoor, with the town of Chudleigh below. Middle left is towards Bovey Tracy and Ashburton. The smoke is from the Candy Tiles factory near to the infamous Trago Mills (which I had just been visiting)

I'd been meaning to go and see this mural for a while and with other reasons to go nearby, today was the day, even though I had to sit in the car for 10 minutes waiting for the rain to stop.

One of the art works in Shepshed, Leicestershire, just on the side of someone's garage, by local artist Buber Nebz.

Friday Night. Private bar. I donated one more bottle.

A carvery meal necessitated walking it off afterwards around a lake for some bird photography.

Also using this photo for my 114 Pictures in 2014 Project, No. 49. The Weather Outside is Frightful. Cliche shot, but fits.

Torrential rain all day, and I took this shot earlier in the day just in case. Turns out I need to use it.

We recently moved to an Art Deco house. It took me about 5 minutes to work out how to change the bulb in this 1930's light. The glass rods are irreplacable so I might have been taking a risk by taking a shot of their reinsertion into the light after I replaced the extremely rare and hard to find light bulb. Living on the edge!
