Another one of Heather during our quick test shoot couple weeks back. Definitely need to pull a proper shoot together and work with her again.
Over the weekend I was shown a couple more awesome locations that are real close. It really does pay to get out and explore your ea...you would be surprised at all the cool places right under your nose.

so this shoot was just one of those random occurrences that just end up working out swell. i drove to ybor city florida to do a shoot for some friends in a band called makari, as soon as i got out of my car saw the SIO guys loading in and totally forgot they were playing, we made a little small talk turns out they had seen my work before and we set up a quick shoot after my shoot with makari. these guys were extremely humble and appreciative of every thing so made shooting a breeze. shot low DOF upon their request.

Some good friends of mine, With Words had a recent line up change so they needed some new photos for their promotional kits and their new myspace layout that is due to debut this Friday, the 8th of May.
They have been progressing with their music ever since I first met up with them a few months ago. I'm totally looking forward to their show on the 16th. Check out that flyer, you will not want to miss it.
I wanted to switch up the POV with this shoot. Something a little different.
Oh yeah - I'm on twitter @peteyphoto

Great guys, down to get dirty and trespass.
A pretty interesting experience for this shoot - we went to some town called Deveaux, it's right near Niagara Falls, New York and Jackson knew of an old factory, so we slipped all my gear through the fence, hopped it, and started shooting. The shooting went good for the first few spots, until we heard something slam into the glass wall behind us. So we moved on to a new spot, then we heard rustling like footsteps. By this point I was a nervous wreck worrying about my gear, who knows who was there and if they were trying to harm us. But we shot a little more, moved over to another spot and that's when I saw 2 people run across the building way in the distance, they looked to be young teenagers, like maybe 13 or 14. I think they were scared of us, because they ran into a loading dock thing and ducked down so we couldn't see them, haha. Ahh it was so weird!

Here is another shot of the loveley Caitlin Randolph taken several months ago. I threw together a quick tutorial on how to extract some of those textures and borders from iphone apps to allow you to use them in photoshop.

This is a pin–sized Breton flag (less than 2 cm in length), and in the Breton language, “Breizh” is “Brittany”. Breizh, ma bro means “Brittany, my country”. Pinned on my caban, which is a short wool overcoat typical of Brittany, and which was originally designed for Navy officers to wear at sea.
So, there is my “Z”! Shot for my Macro Mondays group, theme “Zed”. Consider yourselves lucky I haven’t chosen to pull out an old ugly photo of Sean Connery as “Zed”, the main character in that unforgettable movie, Zardoz... ;o)
Composite shot made of 5 focus–stacked exposures. Focus set manually with a NiSi NM–180 focusing rail.
Strobist and technical: One Phottix Pro Indra500 monolight on a Profoto light stand in backlit position, 2 meters from subject and 1.3 meters above it, firing at ½ power through a Phottix Pro 110–cm Luna octabox with double diffuser; and two Phottix Pro Mitros+ cobra flashes, one of either side of subject and 1 meter from it, firing at ½ power through their standard built–in diffuser.
Strobes set and triggered via Phottix Pro Odin II radio controller on the Nikon Z7 hotshoe, manual mode. Sekonic L–858D light meter used to balance light sources. Gitzo GR3543XLS tripod with Arca–Swiss Cube C1 geared head. Nikon Z7 camera body, Laowa CA–Dreamer 100mm f/2.8 macro 2× lens, manual focus.
