these guys are some of my oldest friends as previously stated in past photos but go check them out they will be your new guilty pleasure along with the new circa album
Shoot Game Plan
we had done previous shoots before of course, but all of them were wearing black and the same colors and same hair and i wanted to spice it up and do a more down home feel like where they come from just southern towns and down to earth lifestyles. So i had them dress casual and down beat just a relaxed shoot something i dont think they have had yet.
Complications and Things to Work Through
ok so this shoot was tricky i mean very tricky we moved our meeting time back 2 hours so every one would get there on time and so we could have the sun setting behind the building. guys got their i was already set up and then it got windy very diny the octabox was blowing around even with the stand weighted by a vagabond in a back pack and 20 pounds of free weights. this was a hard problem light blowing everywhere then we tried pulling the car in front of them to block it and nothing their hair was blowing in their faces so we only got a tiny bit of usable shots from this and this is one. we would eventually end up doing some natural light with the remaining day light we had. also the sand was blowing at an raging pace.

Got together with my friend Maggie and snapped some pics on Friday. I was pretty happy with the result. We'll probably shoot together again pretty soon once I can find some new locations. We shot all of these at spots I had already shot at before so it's hard coming up with new ideas haha

These are some good friends of mine that are just so representative of Southern California. Jake is a tattoo artist and killer mechanic, while Danielle is an awesome hair stylist and make up artisit. We have collaborated on a few shoots together and she does killer work. I wanted to take a photo of them that showed off who they truly are, and the background was perfect for this. I used just one light above and in front of them with a grid to help control the spill. Very simple photo to make, they loved it and it is now hanging on their wall at home, they got ordered on a huge canvas gallery wrap.

P.S. We also revamped the site as we will be focusing more on weddings and will be creating a new site for our commercial editorial work. I was BEYOND hesitant about adding music, but all the brides seem to LOVE it, so I gave in and added it...not sure how long it will last.....lol

I was in Douglasville this past weekend (3/6/10) @ Jonny Craig, Tides Of Man, Eye Alaska and Romance On A Rocketship. After an eventful day, we all hung out with the bands and had a couple of shoots. I spoke to these guys after chilling with them for a majority of the day about a quick shoot. They were staying at the venue for the night so pretty much we had the place to ourselves and this is one of the two setups! Enjoy!
Please post comments/critique!

A Girl And Some Tunes: The Girl Called Little Red Riding Hood Part II
Veruca Salt - Wolf
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUFwvbMU1VU
Fairy tales have always been an inspiration for me and especially the little red riding hood. I've already made an episode around this character during the second year of the A Girl And Some Tunes series. But i've always felt like there is more to tell with this story. So Frédérique ( the model who was the "1st" little red riding hood ) and i decided to make a part II to continue the story a bit more.
She's been called "the little red riding hood". Years ago someone nicknamed "The Wolf" tried to kill her. She managed to fight back and believed she had killed him. But in fact he survived. Now she knows where he lives, she will take revenge on him.
She arrives near the city where the wolves lives. If her intelligence is good she will quickly locate him.
It's hard to believe but after all these years, she still hates him the same way. She wants him dead as doornail.
After crossing the bridge, she arrives in a strange housing project. The temperature seems to decrease suddenly, she feels so cold now. He must be here, it's like she can smell him.
She sees him hiding somewhere in the dark park of this project. She must enter in it if she wants to fight him...

Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm currently in Valdosta, GA right now working on my band's second album.
Lucky for us, the guys in FFTL live in Valdosta and are letting crash at their place while we record.
Anyway, the guys recently signed to Rise Records and needed new promo pics to support their new album "Throne To The Wolves" (which rules!), so I had a shoot with them. This is one of the photos from the shoot.
These guys are rad
