I was out shooting portraits in Brighton and trying out my location light and gridded Octabox when I heard someone call my name and spotted a couple whose daughters wedding I photographed in Derbyshire last year!
They were telling me what a cool place Brighton was and how great The Lanes were for seeing wonderful people so I setup the light in a side street opposite the pub where we had been talking.
Sadly the side street was full of litter bins and made a 'trashy' ;-) backdrop so I opted to use the wall of a building.
I went off to see who I would meet leaving my iPhone on the ground playing the tunes through my speaker to create a party in the alley and leaving Colin to guard the gear.
I stood around soaking up the street performers and general vibe when I spotted this guy walk past with a friend - the cut and material of his jacket along with the cool hair caught my attention. I turned to make an approach and he disappeared into a music shop.
I waited an age for him to reappear and explained what I wanted to do and he just looked at me and said "Let's do it!"
So we did.
I liked the off camera look as he gazed up into the softbox which is why I went for the shot. It was a brief encounter and he was off.
Thanks for your help Bucky and I hope you like the image!

Today I interrupt our trip to Vendée to upload three more recent tabletop photos.
This one is a shot I took for a theme-based group. The theme was, obviously, “Travel”.

^^^ You really gotta view large ^^^
I spent the afternoon with solo artist Cameron Walker
He's making some great strides with his music, I really suggest that you check it out if you like indie pop. He just got done recording his EP a few days ago. I can't wait for that to be released. He's got a great sound, and vibe going. I dig it.
We checked out an unmixed track before heading out. I had a great time. He's really chill.
I wanted to try out some new things for this shoot, lemme know what you dig about it.
This was the 2nd location that we shot at so I will be posting one or two more!

I pulled out this old camera for this week's theme. It has sentimental value to me since I got it from Andrea before she passed. Danbo was intrigued by it and wanted to do a shoot.
