Tales got in contact me with earlier this week to do some fresh promotional photos for them. So far, they have one Album out and they'll be back recording a couple more songs.
After shooting at this spot, we grabbed some food at Tory's, in Leominster, MA. If you like steak and cheese subs...this is THE place to go. If you're in the area, you really gotta go there. Great food, great prices.
They hooked me up with one of their sweet T's and their CD, which I rocked on the way home. Their music has good flow and lyrics.
I wanted to really switch up the lighting for this shoot. I figured, "why do generally the same lighting set-up every single time". I wondered what would happen if I reversed the lights....
Thus, this is the outcome!
I plan on revamping my sight and blog this week. I'm sure i'll tweet about it when it's all done.

So, here's another one of Sandra. This was taken in September 2009, but I haven't had any shoots for like a month now, so in lack of new photos I uploaded this one. Pretty stoked on it :-)

Originally, I thought I might use this slice with a fork for the eponymous theme of my Macro Mondays group; however, I ended up using smoked trout and therefore, I had to “recycle” the pâté en croûte in another food photograph!

Strobist and technical: One Phottix Pro Indra500 monolight on a Profoto boom stand in backlit Rembrandt position to camera left, 2 meters from subject and 1 meter above it, firing horizontally at ¼ power through a Phottix Pro 110–cm octabox with double diffuser. White card reflectors in the back and to camera right.
Strobe set and triggered via Phottix Pro Odin II radio controller on the Nikon Z7 hot shoe, manual mode. Gitzo GT3543 XLS tripod with Arca–Swiss Cube C1 geared head. Nikon Z7 camera body, Micro–Nikkor 85mm f/2.8 PC–E tilt–shift lens, manual focus. FTZ adapter.

Composite shot made of 12 focus–stacked exposures, using the built–in function on the Nikon Z7. Stack processed with Helicon Focus, Method C.

Strobes set and triggered via Phottix Pro Odin II radio controller on the Nikon Z7 hotshoe, manual mode. Sekonic L–858D light meter used to balance light sources. Gitzo GR3543XLS tripod with Arca–Swiss Cube C1 geared head. Nikon Z7 camera body, Nikkor Z “Nifty Fifty” 50mm f/1.8 S lens.

Thanks very much for the responses, please keep the comments coming would love to get this viewed more! I should have taken a pic of the lighthing but always forget! The octabank was camera left slightly higher so it provided the light on the face and the wrap, the ab800's were back left and right and illuminating his back for rim, probably slightly lower in this photo from the looks of it, I adjusted them higher afterwards. Processing for this was very minimal actually, one of the least processed photos that I have ever done. Photo filter, curves, high pass, levels, contrast, hue saturation and a little bit of magic ;p
