At the final seconds prior to midnight, a message pops up on David's screen with the Grim Reaper stating "the trouble is you think you have time" while holding an hourglass that has almost run out. At this point David knows of his impending doom, as his paper will no longer be accepted. This moment is initially portrayed through an objective point of view with David looking at the computer. The left shot establishes David's index vector, while the subjective point of view demonstrates what David actually sees, as the audience is able to essentially look through his eyes (Zettl 230).
The picture on the left represents an objective point of view as Daddy makes his wake to the kitchen in search of Daisy (the subject) and what she has gotten into. The picture on the right represents a subjective point of view as it shows Daisy lying in the middle of the trash that she has knocked over onto the floor.
