A photographic movement in response to the emotional dramatic styles of photography in the 1920's; offered a return to unsentimental reality and a focus on the objective world, as opposed to the more abstract, romantic, or idealistic tendencies of photography.
Visional style through the exact representation of the subject, a clear and well defined image construction with particular attention to shapes and structures.

In 1991 George Pitarys and I made a trip deep inside the Cheddar Curtain with a prime objective to shoot the GB&W. Secondary targets included the WC, Fox River Valley RR, and the E&LS.
In 1987 the E&LS acquired five SD9s from the recently shut down Reserve Mining Company. Here a pair of them power a southbound train on former Milwaukee Road track.

My attempt at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Treasured".
The Reichert "Neupolar 50 mm F 3.5" is a RMS objective for high magnification macro work and one of the rare lenses made in my home country Austria! It‘s relatively rare and therefore often somewhat expensive so I was glad to find one, and to me it feels like a little treasure I was able to find and return to it’s country of origin! I used its big brother, the 100 mm one to take this shot! Can't say when it was made exactly but it should be way over 50 years, realistically closer to 60 years old, so I'd say not bad for that age!
Shot with a Reichert "Neupolar 100 mm F 6.3" lens on a Canon EOS R5.

Romanesque carving of the Christ of Santa Tigridia, from the 12th century. Crucified with four nails, his hieratic features and the folds of his clothes alert us to the "indolent" drama so typical of this medieval artistic style, where the objective is to highlight more the majesty of the Redeemer than his sufferings for passion.
...of a commonly subjective inner feeling.

New Topographics - neutral landscapes, uninflective and objective photographs devoid of nostalgia and prettiness.
Deal and Baltz took it a step further removing the far point and horizon line and creating an immediacy in their landscapes.

'New Objectivity' A movement in the 1920's to record and unmask the world around us with a close, impersonal, and restrained gaze.
The same ideology which presented with the 'New Topographics' of the 1970's.
The objective this night was to get a specific shot of a specific aircraft under a full moon with a clean background before another, larger aircraft is - potentially - moved next to it later this year. Unfortunately some angry clouds made the moon disappear, but it led to me getting a different shot of a different aircraft.
I'm not complaining.
The "matter of factness" which surrounds us at all times can be quite poetic.
This made for a very nice monochrome Topographics image, but I couldn’t turn away from the banana yellow on that Mediterranean blue sky.

Early in the morning, before sunset i went to Moraine lake. Unfortunately it was completely clear so no clouds to catch the morning glow. Furthermore i tried to do something different compared to the classic shot, and the trees in the water offered me that possibility. Needless to say this lake is of an extreme beauty! (more to come?!) This shot was taken btw a few hours before I went to lake Louise (www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/20279401410).
From 11 june till the 25th of July, I traveled in Canada. Starting in Brighton Ontario, where my sister lives at the border of an amazing part of lake Ontario, I flew to Vancouver, and Vancouver island where I took the boat at Port Hardy to take part 1 of the Inside passage, to Prince Rupert in BC. Two days later I took part 2 to Skagway in Alaska. When coming from Skagway Alaska, you can take the train to Carcross. it is a very scenic train ride that halts at Bennet lake.
And then to Whitehorse and further on by car to Kluane National park in the Yukon district. Whitehorse is situated at the border of the Yukon. Frow there I flew back to Vancouver, rented a car, and traveled three weeks in the BC- and Alberta Rockies, visiting the famous, and less famous Nature parks like Banff and Jasper. Last few days back to Brighton Ontario to enjoy lake Ontario once more, before going home. A picture of my itinerary can be found on Facebook (www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152940536581759&set...).
4000 pictures later, it is quite a task to show the right stuff, although the stunning scenery guarantees at least a few great shots to share. Objective will be to make a book (for myself mainly), and that might take a while.
I hope you will enjoy the impression of my travel, one that equals earlier journeys to Alaska and south America, this journey was the first in the digital era, and equally intensive because of all the hiking activities every day on and on. I loved every minute of it.

This was my first objective on my walk, a waterfall I had not visited before, although I must have passed nearby many times on my walks up to Crinkle Crags.
It is a substantial fall with a lovely plunge pool, which would be very tempting on a hot summers day. Sadly it was pretty cold when I got here and visibility above the falls was pretty poor too.
The main fall here is good 100 feet, at least! Whilst it is tucked away in a small narrow gorge it is well worth the effort to get here.
I have worked about 2 hours on this picture, it is my first texture and
the texture comes likewise of a bush in my garden, see pictures below ......
....for your objective evaluation and proposals to the improvement I would be pleased very much...
thank you my friends ;-))
I wish you all a very nice evening and a good start in the new week !

While much of eastern Washington embraced ranching and sheep raising, the Big Bend area of the state fully went in on wheat very early on. And today, it's still going strong.

Picture taken on a day out with the objective of doing some seascapes long exposures... But the sea was too angry. There is no picture that deserves my life.
While leaving this beautiful place, I looked backward one more time, hopping that the conditions were better...
"What a surprise... It seems that I won't go away with my pic"... I though.
Our trip continues. The primary objective was to capture several round barns and whatever poped up on this excursion. The next one was within 30 miles of Bentonsport. Enjoy
