Objective 3: Composition Techniques – Use the guide on the website

2. Perspective and depth: The lower perspective makes the image look large that it is. The lower perspective draws the eye to the bottom of the image because it was made the largest.

4. Backgrounds: The background is simple because everything is normally in the environment that the picture is taken. The background is slightly out of focus which draws the eye to the focal point.

5. Leading Lines: The yellow lines focus the eyes to follow them and create leading lines.

7. Texture: The texture is created from the rocks that are on the ground. The rocks on the ground create a rough texture.

Objective 4: Lighting (side, back, soft, hard, fill)

Types of lighting and how they contribute to the image: The image as soft lighting because the sun was blocked by the shade of the wall.

Objective 5: Post Production (resize, contrast, sharpening, and others you have done)

Corrections/adjustments made: darkened, contrasted, sharpened,

Objective 6: Critique

Analyse your photograph for strengths and areas for improvement (consider composition, lighting, exposure, overall feel, etc.)

Strength: The lower perspective for the larger focal point

Area for growth: Could have blurred the background more to be less of a distraction

Objective 7: Photographic Styles

Type/style of photography: still life

The camera mode Av – I can control the aperture and ISO. I probably could have shot in Manual but didn’t feel comfortable enough.

f stop used: 5.6. If anything was to be picked up in the background I wanted it blurry. Also wanted the edges to be less sharp

shutter speed used:1/80- medium shutter speed because the object was not moving

ISO used:400- the room was a bit dark so I needed a higher ISO

Exposure compensation: 0

Focal length: 49- I was zoomed in a tad, but not enough to distort.

Objective 7: Photographic Styles– for still life you need to have a really high focal length and a really low ISO. This will slow the shutter speed down by a lot so you’ll need a tripod. For still life you need to be able to control the environment of the photo or object

Type/style of photography: still life

The camera mode: Av

f stop used: 16.0

Shutter speed used: 1

ISO used: 200

Focal length: 40.0mm

Look what learning Objective-C has done to my head!!!

Every year, the objective of ECOMM is to disseminate, increase and exchange the knowledge about mobility management in Europe and beyond and to enhance the networking within the mobility management community. The conference is a chance to get in touch with experts and policy makers, and the Transport Area of the Florence School of Regulation was happy to support and engage in the discussion.

My dad said yes! Now, I must look up the recipe on a Youtube video for our raw vegan pumpkin pie. In this photo, we are given an objective view of myself looking at my laptop, opened to said video. This photo is a more generalized viewpoint, because the camera is only merely observing the event that is taking place instead of taking on an active role.

Those in the know will understand.

Pegasus Bridge June 6th 1944 - 1100 hours

The capture of Pegasus Bridge was a major objective of the British 6th Airborne Division. It was strategically vital to securing the eastern flank of the D-Day invasion, being (along with the nearby Horsa Bridge) the only point where German armour could cross the Caen canal and come to bear on the Allied forces landing on the beaches. A failure at Pegasus Bridge could conceivably have meant a failure for the invasion as a whole and at the very least would have made D-Day much more costly for the Allies. British troops led by Major John Howard landed in gliders (one of which can be seen in the background) at 0016 hours, quickly knocking out the German defenses and becoming the first soldiers to go into action on D-Day. They then had to hold out against constant enemy counter attacks and wait for reinforcements. The first of these came at 1300 hours to the sound of bagpipes when Lord Lovat and his commandos arrived.

The machine gun shown is a Bren LMG, usually known as a Bren gun. It was popular with British troops because of it's reliability and rate of fire and was ideal for suppressing fixed enemy fire with little ill effect. As a result they were often at the forefront of dangerous operations.

Super Star Couloir June 2007 - It's been over a month since Tom and I climbed Super Star Couloir, a climb that's been on my list for years. If I recall correctly, the original plan was to do a rock route in RMNP, but the weather forecast wasn't good, or we hadn't been climbing enough, or we were lazy, or something.

Roach calls this climb a *Classic* and says it's 7.5 miles of walking with 3720 feet of elevation gain. We belayed one pitch at the top and took 7 hours. The typical finish is to exit earlier, go to the right, and climb a rock pitch. However, we looked through the monocular before starting, and there appeared to be enough snow to go the left instead and stay on the snow. Snowpack is more than usual this year so, we reasoned, that's probably why the book didn't mention this option. As it turned out, there was very little snow covering steep rock. I was happy to be roped up and have a selection of small to medium cams. The snow at the top was worthless (for ax purchase), but I moved enough of it away to find some steps to the top.

Fun route made more exciting than it had to be because of our choice of exits. But we both thought it was a good choice.
