Creighton Dance Company’s production of The Nutcracker recounts the classic tale of a young girls journey, beginning at her parents’ Christmas party and into her nightmares and dreams. Eventually, Clara is transported to a land of “sweets” where she is entertained by the Sugar Plum Fairy and other dance “confections”. She is accompanied by her beloved Uncle Drosselmeyer, and the Nutcracker “doll” (transformed into a “Prince”) that he has given her as a gift. The cast features dancers from the Creighton Dance Department and younger dancers from the metro community.

I have yet to see "The Nutcracker", so I still don't know what these freaky little things have to do with Christmas. There sure were a heck of a lot of them at Home Sense, though.
