One of the pages from my sketchbook that I brought to ComicCon sitting on top of a folded and annotated map of the exhibitors hall. (When you can only be there one day, you need to know where you're going.)
There are full pages of Mike Mignola, David Mack and Camilla D'Errico notes, but I only wanted to share the one page, so there you go.
Watching them draw was my favorite part of the show.

Since moving to Vancouver, I renewed my love of reading and writing. With that, I decided to pick up a nice notebook within which I could store all my random ideas for stories. I was careful to pick one I would love, spending most of one morning wandering a few stores in search of something.
It had to inspire me, to press me to write more and write better. While I had no idea what kind of mere notebook would accomplish so great a task, I knew that once I saw it, I'd know!
And so it was. In a wonderful shop that sold loads of books on art and craft, I saw a series of lined notebooks with passages from famous authors printed into the covers. They came in a variety of colours, but the Edgar Allan Poe one caught my attention as soon as I saw it. A beautiful shade of purple with golden lettering, I knew this was the book I was going to fill with wondrous tales.
The cover has a fragment from the manuscript of Poe's first book, Tamerlane and Other Poems
