Quite hard to get this effect while flicking the pages with one hand and holding the camera with the other!

These notebooks are made out of bagasse, the fibrous stuff left over after sugarcane has been crushed. The paper has an unusual texture, somehow both silky and coarse.

My love of paper extends into hand made paper and items made from it. I also have an unhealthy passion for notebooks! These two are hand made (but not by me!).

The covers, I think, are made from coconut fibre. The paper is from Daphne bholua.
