This the notebook I use for my "Original wip"
I'm no artist, but for some reason I really wanted to paint it.
So I mod podged on blue construction paper and made some stencils.
Thought about jazzing it up....but I was afraid of ruining it, which happens about half the time I try to fix something that doesn't need fixing.😋

I sometimes distress the pages with brown inks, to make them look aged - but I accidently overdid these pages and did’nt want to use them for my case files. Instead I drew a pattern which I spotted on Pinterest, to simply cover the pages with something and so that I can carry on to a fresh new page spread. I thought of pause music, but imagine these pages to be a visual pause instead.
I shot this at the DXpedition in October with my Hasselblad 500cm and the new NONS Instax Square full frame back. This is my friend Andy’s notebook where he kept notes on the stations he was hearing. Andy passed away a few weeks after this trip.
“All the noise in my brain. I clamp it to the page so it will be still.” -Barbara Kingsolver
Similar to hummingbirds almost always being on the move when awake, my brain tends to be quite active. I have found it helps tremendously to get some thoughts that won’t quiet down on paper. It’s rare that I don’t have a notebook with me and I plan on always having one as a companion.
Notebook from Land & She, bandana from Wayfaring Wolves (Etsy).
A travelers's notebook I made using veg tanned leather (a meaningful process for me) which has become my companion...doodling is one thing I sometimes do in order to cope and survive. I love how the leather cover for my small sketchbooks takes on unique character as I use it.
Today's entry in my lomo notebook.
I love these days when my mailbox is full of letters.
I bought a couple more kits to play with, this one was notebooks & folders with lined paper. Not too hard to put together, but there's a lot of cutting. The two model planes were also part of the kit, but I don't know why LOL. Anyway, I put them together too. The kit is 1:12 scale, but I think it can easily work for 1:6 also.
Escribiré en tu corazón;
una historia que tal vez nunca sera nuestra;
tuya y mía quizá sea;
pero de nosotros jamas sera.
En una pagina completa escribiré,
un Te Amo del tamaño del cielo;
tan grande como los sueños,
y tan pequeño como la vida,
para guardarlo;
justo en el centro de tu corazón.
Me disfrazare de un poeta sin vocación,
para dedicarte breves versos carentes de pasión,
sabiendo muy bien que terminare escribiendo sin control;
en las paginas de un libro que solo existe en mi imaginación.
Un día no muy lejano me daré cuenta;
que aun no he escrito ni una sola letra,
que necesitaría mas de mil libros;
para decirte lo que sentía todo ese tiempo,
en el que escribí en el libro que no existió
y que seria indispensable escribir dos mil libros mas;
para poder escribirte lo que estoy sintiendo hoy.

Gracias por darle texto a mis fotos.
I take tons of notes, and in between taking notes and listening to lectures I also doodle crazy things in the margins everywhere. Here are some of them...
Christmas gift for my daughter's friend. Sort of a last minute thing. I roughly used this tutorial at One Red Robin, but recreated the measurements around a notebook I already had.
16 years ago I took a picture of my messy Moleskine www.flickr.com/photos/adulau/149754989 and shared it in flickr. After many years of writing in various notebooks, I share a stack of some my old and open notebooks.
