NOTES is a series I started in 1968. NOTE TO ERIK was the second one completed but the footage goes back to 1966. When I saw the footage I loved it, but didn't feel ready to deal with it. Seeing Sharon Moss again, who had moved to NYC from Storrs, CT inspired me to return to this footage to make a note to a mutual friend ERIK KIVIAT. It took about 2 years for me to feel I could respond to the generosity of her performance and the images I had gathered and shaped in my camera. Sharon Moss and her cats play and dance naked in the snow.

A crew of VSQ 321 B 24 Libarator prepares for a flight. Probably from Sri Lanka now Chrismas Island. Note that the nose turret is stript from its armament !? I think the aircraft commander is the one that looks into the camera, with his servicepistol and his life savejacked.

Hawaii Overprint Note by Insomnia Cured Here

A Hawaii overprint note is one of a series of banknotes (one Silver Certificate and three Federal Reserve Notes) issued during World War II as an emergency issue after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The intent of the overprints was to easily distinguish US currency captured by Japanese forces in the event of an invasion of Hawaii and render the bills useless. These were all recalled in April 1946 and most were burned in a Hawaiian crematorium rather than ship them stateside.

Nothing a little licking can't fix!

(Our cat came back home with a large wound exposing his pink flesh, like a skinned rabbit. He probably got caught on a piece of metal while trying to climb on something... Very nasty, but he didn't seem to be in any pain at all. I managed not to faint and rushed him to the vet. )

Was drasticly underexposed, a mistake which with the help of computers need only mean 'some shadow detail lost, more grain than normal'.

I will be taking a small break from my 365.

I am tired of my stream only containing photos of me.

I am tired of never having any time, resulting in always finding myself with bad light and no inspiration, feeling forced to take a photo. I hate uploading photos that are mediocre and that I don't even like, but that's what I'm currently doing. That doesn't help me get better at photography, it only takes the joy out of it.

And I've already fallen two days behind.

I will be back sometime next week. I promise. I am not going to quit this project altogether. I just need to breathe a little.
