Note Taking Tip: Listening is the first step in successful note taking. If you do not understand how to listen properly, you will not be able to correctly store the information in your brain, or on paper. #notes

The next step after taking the sample is to annotate the information about the chick. This process is performed with the artificial nests.
The following information is important to write on this envelope (Day, Nest ID, Chick #, Chick age, Area and the person initials)
An interesting conversation on a scrap of notebook paper that flew into my office this morning by a stong gust of wind. Lot's of inferences about the involved parties can be drawn by this dialogue. Any suggestions?
Though it looks personal, I couldn't resist sharing this. Enjoy!

This was a note left on my car. Isn't is funny how people think they own share space.
I have been parking in this lot for 3 years and rarely am I in the same place since the good parking spaces go quick. Apparently someone has taken offense to my trying to park in the best spot available.
Phil Hawksworth takes beautiful notes during Supernova sessions. This is a re-flick -- to learn the meaning of each of the icons, check out Phil's heavily annotated photo on his Flickr stream here: www.flickr.com/photos/philhawksworth/2588299896/

Another trip to the AGO. The last time I took photos here I only had my Canon SD750 point and shoot camera so it was nice to have a proper camera with me. That being said I felt I got the photos I wanted last time around so I tried to capture elements I missed last time around.

Notes from a 2009 IASummit pre-conference workshop with Indi Young. Our goals for the day were to understand how mental models can be used to: Figure out how to support people, increase design confidence, get clarity in decision-making, support strategy continuity. I keep these notes on my bulletin board, and still refer to them frequently. If you have a chance to take a workshop with Indi Young, do it. Either way, her book, Mental Models, is a great resource.
Overnight, someone placed this musical note (which I noticed as I processed the photo was in the shape of a lower-case B) in front of Creole Gallery, Robert Busby's home and gallery. By placed, I mean permanently affixed to a post which is anchored to the sidewalk. I wouldn't be surprised if there had been some city complicity in the memorial piece of artwork which a number of us suspect was created by a local artist/businessman who has had a hand in creating a couple of businesses in Old Town.
