Das in Berlin beheimatete Trio The Trouble Notes besteht aus dem Geiger Bennet Cerven, dem Gitarristen Florian Eisenschmidt und dem Perkussionisten Oliver Maguire. Ihre Musik schafft es ohne die Zugabe von Worten imaginäre Szenarien zu transportieren und kunstfertige Verbindungen zu schmieden. Die Ästhetik des Trios führt die erhabenen (intrepid – nachschauen) kontemporären Klänge des EDMs, Hip-Hops, Indie Rocks und Stoner Rocks an die disziplinären Traditionen des Klassik, Gypsy und Jazz heran. It wasn't long after I got my job that I felt a picture commemorating the event should be taken. So I found the best thing I could.
And yes that really is what my computer looks like when I'm a work.
Taking on a lead in a show is daunting enough. Taking on the lead role in Mack and Mabel is even more so,
For Mack it seems like just one monologue after another...oh and did I mention all the songs he has to learn? I think there's 8 in all!!
That's a LOT of stuff to learn. I love doing shows, but I don't think I could ever take on that amount of work for what is, after all, an unpaid amateur endeavour.
So I have every admiration for the people who do. The two main leads in Mack and Mabel, our Annual show this year, are being taken by Shay Griffin as Mack and Jennifer McGann as Mabel.
These are two fine performers in every sense. Still amateurs, still doing it for the sheer joy of stepping out into the bright lights. Just like every member of the cast. But in every other respect..... total pro's.
Like most people, I'm quite happy to take my small share of limelight, sing the odd song, throw out a few lines of dialogue and hopefully get it right. But these guys are something special.
Hats off to them. It's a pleasure to watch them work :-)

Scaevnger item #35 - Someone holding a wind instrument to make a G note. The someone is my daughter and her clarinet. She also plays the big bass clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, flute and drums. She is learing the piano now.
