Had the crew in for their health certs and vaccines necessary for travel thru Canada. They don't look too excited, but it's not an easy task to round them together for a group photo. In a few short days we hit the road.

I may share a number of wintery squirrel photos from last winter that I thought might be used in my second book due for next Christmas, but I had too many.... My sister, Hug a Horse www.flickr.com/photos/hug-a-horse/ on flickr , made this great prop for me as a Christmas gift last year.

My sister sent this pic to me, nicely framed, in our recent Christmas box. It's from the previous Christmas when she had her first dog mushing ride ! We had a total blast! It was so nice to share that with her. She added a note: "I tell the story so often , and never tire of it. Most people are awe struck to imagine mushing for real, and in the "real" chill (what was it, -22 degrees that day) of Alaska. I look forward to doing it yet again, perhaps next Christmas."
Bravo! Next year you might graduate to your own sled. I would hope it's a bit warmer and we can explore a bit farther on the trails. The dogs, and especially Sandy, send their greetings.
