When there's nowhere else to run
Is there room for one more son
One more son
If you can hold on
If you can hold on, hold on
I wanna stand up, I wanna let go

I'm lying in my bed, two blankets on me, still cold. I'm listening to film soundtracks and reading Twilight: New Moon. Yeah...I love those books. So what. Oh and yeah...I saw The Diary of a Teenage Girl yesterday...such a good movie!
As crappy as I felt today I HAD to get outside for a little bit. It was 63 degrees and even though it started to rain it felt good to feel the beginnings of spring. :)

Ok, we’re not really that desperate. But some boyfriends worry that their girlfriend is spending too much money. With Sarah, I have to worry more about wall space...

I usually discard photos that have such odd lighting, but I liked this one for some reason. The actinic lights give it a really cool look.
The thing is, today was the first day I have worn makeup in three days, and first time in four days I have actually done something with my hair besides pull it back into a ponytail. Quite honestly, the break from both was good and it made it fun to put makeup on and do something with my hair.
To have not worn makeup for that long was good for me, it helped me realize that I truly don't care if I wear it or not, that I am beautiful with or without it. I do not need makeup to do anything or be who I am, yes, it does add to my personality and it can, in some ways, show you a bit of how I am, but can't all at the same time.
Here's the thing, beauty is on the inside, NOT the outside. Who we are, what we do and say, makes more of a difference then what we look like. Yes, it is good to look clean and take care of ourselves on the outside and not let go of everything and just not care, but it is VERY IMPORTANT that we do not let that become us. Sadly so many girls do not feel like they can leave their room without wearing makeup.
It's not okay for girls to feel that they aren't beautiful or themselves without makeup. You are BEAUTIFUL and without makeup. It is does not define who you are, remember that, please.
Today, when I was all said and done putting on makeup, straightening my hair, and back combing it, I looked in the mirror I was sitting in front of and thought "Ooooooo. She's pretty." Then realized it was me.
What I am getting at is, that we have become so desensitized by makeup and how uncomfortable we feel without it, it's not okay. Make up hides to easily our natural God given beauty. I want to encourage girls to go at least two days without makeup and go out in public that way and just don't care what people think about it. If your friends say something judgmental, about it, they aren't your true friends.
You are BEAUTIFUL!

One of the very few things I love about snowy days like today is that the temperature is so mild. So if you don't mind getting wet you can take a fairly nice walk.
We're due to get a dumping of about 15 to 20cm by the end of the day, so I figured if I wanted to shoot outdoors I'd better head out early-ish today. So after round one of shoveling out I went.
Does anyone else find it easier to run through the snow rather than walk? I must have looked like quite a sight running through a field tripod in one hand and my camera in the other. I didn't fall, thankfully. I must have used up my one fall of the day today when I went down the stairs earlier. I think that was the better option though, since other than a few bruises on my shoulders and back, my laundry remained uninjured, whereas I don't know that my camera would have been able to say the same if I'd fallen in the snow.
Hope everyone has been having a good day.

I wish this hadn't happened.
But it has.
And I'm so angry.
No one deserves this.
No one is asking for this.
I will grow stronger from this, as we do in tragedy.
But if given my way, you would suffer.
You'd see my face in all things.
You'd hear my pleas in all words.
You'd feel my hatred in everything you touch.
I want it to haunt you.
