As my wife and I will be going to the Beelitz Heilstätten sometime this year I thought I might try out some pseudo HDR photography.
The place we will be going to screams out load for HDR photography. Feel free to look for them here on flickr. You´ll find plenty of shots.
This one is just a test trying out HDR Efex Pro 2.

The new hall for the Messe Basel includes 50 000 square meters of exhibition space that spreads across two windowless floors, each 8 meters high. This large volume is clad into a shimmering facade of interwoven metal strips, with each of floors slightly offset. The ground floor, enclosed in glass, is designed for public use and is shaped so as to form a "city lounge" - a covered plaza that opens to the sky through a large, mesmerizing oculus.

Goathland on the signpost is the fictional vilage of Aidensfield in the TV series Heartbeat, which was set in the 1960s. The show ran from 1992 until 2010 In 17 series, constituting 372 episodes including Christmas specials.
Goathland is a village in the North York Moors National Park.

I found this image while backing up my archives. I shot it this summer at a meeting of old Rolls Royces and Bentleys in NP de Hoge Veluwe. By shooting close up this front of an old Bently really pops out in all it's nice forms. Post-processing in photoshop, using silver efex pro for a nice b&w look, adding just a pinche of sepia.

Funny how the weather can throw a spanner in the cogs!
Today, I went out with the intention of shooting the Second Severn Crossing from a different angle. However, when I arrived at the location, I could not even see the crossing due to the mist!
Not wishing to waste my time, I set about attempting a shot that I had seen previously on Flickr.
Here is my version and I also thought it would look better as a black and white!

The only pair nesting in the Cincinnati city limits. the gap in the trees is only visible from a quarter mile away...
As my flickr followers have seen have taken a break with the main camera and posted some mobile shots over the last few months and not all of them have been that great but to tell the truth I have enjoyed taking them and some of them have been winners and yes of course some losers.
So far this year its been great and also some disapointments.
Got engaged to my beautiful girlfriend which has been the greatest thing thats happened to me and looking forward to spending the rest of my life with her.
The disapointing news mmm not going into to much detail but when someone comes along and makes you a offer of a opportunity that could change your photography and the direction it could go in please make sure the offer stands and don`t pull out after as it does leave a sour taste in ones mouth.
So here we are a statement heres to what you are missing out on.
Be happy people and dont let anyone take you for a fool and let the photography do the talking.
