Seen on my way home from work and converted to b&w with Silver Efex Pro. Looks a bit like the Ghostbusters would fight it out against Gozer the Gozerian on top of it ;)
I took this on a recent trip to North Carolina. It is the feeder stream which leads into the relatively well-known Nantahala River in North Carolina.
What this photo doesn't show is all of the absolutely gorgeous fireflies that were all over the place. I had this spot completely to myself that night, and the soft life was almost magical. I'd give much to go back often! :-)
Sunset and the time after was just gorgeous Monday Evening. Five exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2

I had permission once again to take more images (in HDR), and a big *Thank You* goes once again to Gaby Rivers and the most helpful Staff at the museum.
Another big thank you goes to my mate Terry Donnelly for the lift and a great day out.

In this photo I went for a sort of moonlit kind of look. And, yes I couldn't keep myself from adding my beloved color keyed eyes again. I know many people will hate the image for the fact that it contains color keying alone, others might not like it even though they don't generally dislike color keying but find that color keyed eyes are a cliché. But I like it in this shot, so I don't care. :)
This shot concludes my lion series. I hope you enjoyed it.
What do you think about the slightly brighter bit of fur in the lower left hand corner of the image? Should I remove it or not?
Next up is a series of shots from my stay on the German North Sea island Sylt last summer.
Enjoy!

The Watchman greets everyone at the entrance to Zion National Park. I was still on east coast time, and always shot both the sunrise and sunset. The moon became more full throughout my trip, and was full by the time I made it to Zion. This image was taken about 90 minutes before sunrise.
Huh???... looks like I made Explore on Oct. 29, 2011? I wish it was easier to figure that out. Thanks though!
