Wünsche allen einen guten Start ins Wochenende.

Had no idea what to shoot for my 365 project today, so, when in doubt, shoot Humphrey. With a camera, obviously.

For Macro Mondays 'Back in the Day' theme: a glob of sealing wax impressed with the letter 'R'.

Technical: a 19 image focus stack illuminated by natural window light. Processed in Helicon Focus, cropped in Lightroom to 16:9 format. Dust and fibre removal in Photoshop. Converted to mono in Silver Efex Pro. Split toning and sharpening in Lightroom.

The Chapel at the centre of an old abandoned Catholic School in France.

If you go large you will see a few tourists on the left of the image. It will give you an idea of the scale.

the call of the 'Ness is haunting me..........

Another view from last Saturday's jaunt down the Northumberland coast with Kevin Wallace. This time it's a view of Dunstanburgh Castle, Northumberland from the North and the beach infamous for claiming many a photographer's equipment and pride - these are some of the most treacherous rocks on the planet to walk across.

The shot was taken into the early afternoon light - far from ideal -

which has rendered the tower as a silhouette to avoid blowing out the sky.

Happy Bench Monday! What view one has here of the Rock River. Three exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2

Exploration is Curiosity

I am a devoted Lightroom and Nik Software user but once in a great while I will use Topaz. Most of the time I don't care for the look but thought it helped in this instance. Do you use Topaz? Let me know your thoughts on their products and any tips that you might use to make it work for you. Additionally do you have a great software product that you love? What is it and why is it great?? I am always trying to improve and not above trying new things if it will help speed up that process!! Many thanks!!

A small piece of gold mesh captured for this week's Macro Mondays theme.

Sunrise taken from the A53 Leek to Buxton road, looking towards Chrome Hill.

I was fairly pleased with this photo but I wasn't expecting so many hits. Thanks to everyone who has favoured/viewed it and to those who have been kind enough to comment, it has really encouraged me.

Oh HEY, Flickr! Long time, no see.

This is not a composite. This is only a 20 minute drive, 30 minute hike, from my apartment in San Luis Obispo, California.

Blue Springs Lutheran Church was established before 1811, with the first structure built of log. A second was constructed using brick prior to the Civil War. During the war, it was used as a hospital by General Ambrose Burnside (Union) following the battle of Blue Springs in 1863. The current frame building was built in 1893 by Rev. F.M. Harr.

The church is located at 920 Main St. in Mosheim, Tennessee. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 13, 2017.

This old church is one of my favorites to photograph when I'm in the Greene County area. I used an HDR (High Dynamic Range) effect to draw out the detail.

Colorful digital painted image of trees, I rendered as I would like to see in nature, but of course, it is only in my dreams. I processed this image in photoshop cc 2017, Topaz and Nik software and gave it a pastel feel.

A brilliant early morning jaunt out with my mate James Carne. I was hoping to catch a semi-decent landscape image (?)

Thanks for the lift mate !

The Volcano-like Sugarloaf mountain in the far centre of the image, just as the sun was starting to set.

On Sunday this old boat was destroyed in a mindless act of vandalism on Dungeness beach.

This shot was taken last year and saly no one will now get to enjoy this boat any more.

EDIT - Thanks to info from Ziggy Stardust it looks like this particular wreck has survived however it doesn't make up for the loss of another.

Capture Dallas (online photo group) selected this photo as their Photo of the Day for January 28th.

Monorail red speeding out of the Polynesian Resort station. This one was definitely a bit tough to process from the bright early morning light coming from the roof and the dark shadows back in the station. Please let me know what you all think and as always, Enjoy!
