The Malabar grey hornbill is a hornbill endemic to the Western Ghats and associated hills of southern India. They have a large beak but lack the casque that is prominent in some other hornbill species. They are found mainly in dense forest and around rubber, arecanut or coffee plantations.

Its December but Sun was pretty harsh that day on the Beach. Tajpur located in between Digha and Mandarmani is a favorite weekend destination for bored city dwellers, three hours train journey from Kolkata, almost 180 kms away from the main city (Check the map on the right ). Far away from the madding crowd, its a good holiday spot for the family and couples

In my official capacity, I need to visit Jalpaiguri. This place where Teesta Barrage is located is known as Gajoldoba. Morning looks so serene and calm with the reflection of Sun, transmission tower and Street light on water is almost perfect. I did not use any ND filter here. Shot was handheld and being a cloudy day, Sun was not so harsh either.
