Sunrise near Cove Harbour. Taken after I had finished nightshift it was -2 but the cold didn't seem to matter with such a stunning sunrise. The ship in the distance must have enjoyed daybreak on this morning.
The depot foreman gives instructions of the jobs to be carried out to one of the shed nightshift workers.

It's always a nice way to chill after a nightshift browsing through the HD discovering images like this :-)
In the Lamp room a selection of lamps are waiting on the work bench for their wick's to be trimmed and paraffin added by the apprentices ready for allocation to their loco.

My favourite shawl was as comforting to knit as it is to wear. I followed the pattern Nightshift using different colourways of Malabrigo yarn, 100% merino wool, both durable and soft.

...auch wenn das gleichnamige Lied einen anderen Bedeutungshintergrund hat... als gestern Abend dieses beleuchtete Boot auf der Moldau an uns vorbei trieb, hatte ich sofort den Song im Ohr, noch bevor der Kamera Auslöser betätigt war...
surreal, wie es dort in einem Meer aus Licht trieb, Strudel von tanzenden Funken rings herum, die ursprünglich aus den Fenstern eines großen Ausflugsdampfers schienen...
