Where does she go when she dives right in

Breaking the surface with an audacious grin

With her eyes closed tight then off she goes

Swimming away her trials , troubles and woes

Where does she go when she dives right in

And why does she go there in her bare skin

This is my first attempt at night trails. I decided to go to Fish Hill Broadway, which is a quite well known twisting road. Took loads of images and this one is the best. Used my 10-24mm lens, cable release, but forgot my gloves..freezing!

The famous Montana Rail Link Night Gas wheels around the big bend at Ravalli, catching a gap in the cloud and milk cover. First good shot of my first MRL chase. Thanks Welchie!

Strange happenings: Recently, my daughter came to me in the night and stood by the side of my bed. I woke up and saw her just standing there. I asked, what do you want? She grunted unintelligibly. I told her to go back to bed and I'll be right there, thinking she could not sleep or had a bad dream. When I went to her room a few moments later she was sound asleep. I got the feeling that she was sleeping the whole time. I wondered, was that really her, or her spirit that came to my bedside? The next day I asked her why she came into my room and she said she did not remember doing it. She also said sometimes she wakes up in the living room and doesn't know how she got there. I told her that some people may walk in their sleep and some do all sorts of things while they sleep like get something to eat or take a stroll around the neighborhood.

That's been on my mind so I decided to do a self-portrait to represent those restless souls who feel the need to leave their warm beds and roam around in the night.

This was lit only by the moon, well almost full, it was 98% last night. I think I'd like to try this again with some added lights. Behind me is a wall covered in Clematis vines.

Sony 14mm 1.8 GM. For Night Photography, you need a very good Tripod, you need a fast Memory Card, because the longer the exposure are, the longer it takes to write to the Memory Card. You need to focus manual, it will be a good idea that you test the Lens (Lenses) in day light, focus at a point very far away, check where the Lens are focus, you could fx mark the setting with take. You need to expose for long time, but try to keep the ISO as low as possible, try different exposure times and keep the aperture at the largest settings, fx 0.95, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.8, 2.0 and 2.8 to let as much light to the sensor as possible. Use the self timer in the Camera or use a remote control to trigger the shutter, there are apps for phones to do remote control. Best Lenses will be Wide Angle to Ultra Wide Angle Lenses.

"Night Fishin'" These folks were nice enough to let me shoot them while fishing off of this dock. I don't normally shoot people but the contrast between their light and the moonlit water caught my eye.
