Panoramic Night view of Singapore atop Marina Bay Sands.

The one thing i missed so much while taking this shots was my Tripod which i had not carried. I had to hold my hands as steady as possible to make this shot happen, still, the shake is evident This photo is an outcome of a series of 5 photos stitched in PS and a bit of level adjustments

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hit Toledo for dinner and pictures last night with Pam. We found a good place for the sunset.

Late at night what to you think about ?

Using a fence as a tripod is not always as steady as you might want....but then a tiny slip can result in a very cool shot!!

It's been a while since i've folded something. But i stll haven't lost my touch.

As fire restrictions are in effect the night train was followed shortly by a fire patrol.

This special night train was operated to compare PBR's "Winter" coal against the "Summer" coal in different firing conditions.

Night vision effect.

An American Indian warrior kneels by a camp fire with his knife in one hand and his other over the fire. His face is painted and he looks at the you, the viewer, as if you were expected. He wears leather leggings and his shoulders are draped in the furry hide of a bear. Behind the Native American man, thousands of stars fill the sky.

I rarely make night scenes, but a recent commission I had required me to do one. I created this image largely to practice night time lighting, but I liked it so much that I decided to go ahead and publish it to my gallery.

And the night comes on

It's very calm

I want to cross over, I want to go home

But she says, Go back, go back to the World

Day 319 - Night practice at the Riverway driving range

We got really lucky with a bit o' sun with an awesome chase of the Night Gas. Here, the MRL 4408's train looks more like a Paradise local with logs for Tricon on the head end. This is a bit west of Dixon, as I recall.

Every night

the night comes back

welcoming

Don't ask me what I was doing in the middle of the night. I saw this little guy when I got home after a party.... oh well... my camera was just inside my bag ... of course... I took a shot. :)

Finished finally! By Russ Abbott at Ink & Dagger Tattoo Parlour. Loosely based on Alphons Mucha artwork.

Taken tonight (6/20/2003).

Pretty plain. I was happy that I could make anything out at all :-)

Loved the windows and decorations in this restaurant in a cobbled alley off the main road in the West End of Edinburgh, thought it might suit a monochrome shot

"Starry, starry night.

Portraits hung in empty halls,

Frameless head on nameless walls,

With eyes that watch the world and can't forget.

Like the strangers that you've met,

The ragged men in the ragged clothes,

The silver thorn of bloody rose,

Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow."

I've used some of my grand-daughter's toys and a background shot of the pinetum at Wisley to make this composite depicting a scene from her favourite TV program, "In The Night Garden". Isn't that a pip.

In the Night Garden is a BBC children's television series, particularly aimed at babies and preschool children. It is produced by Ragdoll Productions. It was created by Anne Wood CBE, Ragdoll's creative director, and Andrew Davenport, who also created Teletubbies. The programme is narrated by Sir Derek Jacobi. It is filmed mostly in live action, and features a mix of actors in costumes, plus puppetry and computer animation.

While I (Monika) stayed in Silesia in December, Manfred took his chance to go on an organ tour to see several historical instruments in the region of Dresden. He traveled together with his father, and they had a good time. Only now we find the time to make choices about sending more travel shots to flickr...

There is a "set in progress" on Dresden impressions which has been started last night as well.

Any and all comments on these pictures are being shared with the photographer himself, of course! ;-)
