I got invited to take photos at the movie premiere of Aimuldir – The Soul of a Burkitshi, a heart warming story of a small girl who became an eagle huntress in Mongolia. The short film by director Oliver Klink and producer Jackson Nichols was screened at an art gallery in Palo Alto, California. Returning to the car after the event, Oliver and Jackson discussed the feedback they got on the film.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

This is The Old Depot Musuem in Vicksburg, MS prepped as best they can for flooding. The Mississippi River continues to swell in the background. The 2011 Flood reached the 1st floor windows.
What's your next move in life?
While I was playing with my daughter we both had good lessons, and for me it was that sometimes we need to make some changes in our daily routines and focus on what is important, so what would it be your next move in life?
Passing Riverdale's Metra Electric station, Amtrak SC44 4605 is in charge of train 393, the southbound 'Illini'. Its next station stop will be Kankakee, rather than Homewood, whose Amtrak platform is being rebuilt. Four tracks of CN's Chicago Sub and two of Metra's Electric District vault over the (not so) Little Calumet River here on huge truss bridges.

This belongs to my little nephew. He was so happy that I was using it. A bit too happy 'cause he forced me into taking pictures of his other toys too.
I made an effort to walk around the city in the cold after a long day, but you would not know it from the photos I took. Things look good on the back of a screen - but in the dark, and tiny, that preview doesn't tell you everything. Everything was out of focus. Badly exposed. Or the camera was moving (or all three, as is the case here).
Plus people were bothering me. Some young lads wanting to be in a photo. A man in a van who parked next to me in a dark corner of a car park and asked why I was talking photos. I explained I took a photo every day. Why? He asked.
