Wishing you all a healthy, prosperous, humane, civil, less chaotic and less cantankerous new year in 2021!

My latest blog article is a retrospective that has a very unintended and unfortunate title (since it's probably the last thing anyone would ever want to do!): "Yesteryear 2020 - One Last Look"

2021 is here at last!

Life is a train of moods like a string of beads; and as we pass through them they prove to be many colored lenses, which paint the world their own hue, and each shows us only what lies in its own focus. Ralph Waldo Emerson

November comes

And November goes,

With the last red berries

And the first white snows.

With night coming early,

And dawn coming late,

And ice in the bucket

And frost by the gate.

The fires burn

And the kettles sing,

And earth sinks to rest

Until next spring.

While outside in the backyard, I noticed the Gulf Fritallary Butterflies hard at work laying the eggs that will become the Agraulis Vanillae Catepillar. Eventually it will evolve into the Next Generation of Gulf Fritallary Butterfly.

Good morning my friends!

One last look at this mystery before moving on to other content. I like this perspective as it shows the building with the vast open fields surrounding it. The branches from the tree also add an interesting touch!

The debate of whether this was a school or a house seems to be 50/50 based on your comments. I'd like to think that potentially it was both. I'll continue to try and find an answer but my research has yielded few results.

Let me know which angle is your favorite!

There were a lot of trees being cut down near us, we thought we'd get in on the act seeing as we had Theodore's favourite toy to hand....

You can live years next door to a big pine tree, honored to have so venerable a neighbor, even when it sheds needles all over your flowers or wakes you, dropping big cones onto your deck at still of night.

Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! Have a great day!🙋‍♀️

… That’s All Brother, a Douglas Skytrain, is about to take off from Duxford Aerodrome with airborne re-enactors on board.

Incredibly, this same aircraft managed to take part in all 4 major airborne operations in the European theatre, dropping paratroopers over Normandy on the first night of Overlord, over Provence during operation Dragoon, over Holland during Market-Garden, and over the Rhine near Wesel, Germany for operation Varsity. She is still flying today, in her 1944 D-Day livery. Daks over Duxford
