Compositionally Challenged Week 49 - Two-point Perspective
The lake was so blue! A large body of ice was just off to the left of the duck. You can see a hint of clouds reflected in the water on the right.
Best viewed large.
For today's Fence Friday I've chosen an image of landscape minimalism and lots of negative space because I enjoyed this winter scenario with a cold sunset over frosted fields in Scotland so very much.

This wooden carving has stood on our living room shelf for a long time now! Depending on lighting it can look either angry or calm, this is definitely on the lock down angsty side!

It’s Friday again, the end of another month. Time seems to be passing by too quickly. Does it feel that way for you? Soon this year will be over... On my walk last night, I came across some Halloween decorations that made me pause. Someone had put crosses on his lawn that said, “RIP 2020.” It’s funny, right? But then I thought, I don’t want to erase this year (or any other for that matter). Each year has had its lessons and blessings. Opportunities for growth and change. Despite everything, I still find so many things to be grateful for! I sincerely hope you do too.

Enamored by the photography of the mid-nineteenth century with it's attitude toward such elements as scale, linear overlapping, and presence of space, I attempted such in this composition.
I am simply astonished at what those photographers created with their early photography cameras, lenses, and developing techniques.
Sure I took a dozen shots with the digital camera - that's the luxury of what they do... quite an abomination of artistic talent.
Only one shot worked - where the central characters are composed as a stretched diamond and suspended in a jumble of converging lines.
How the masters of the nineteenth century managed to compose their masterpieces with one shot using a view camera is beyond my comprehension.
This tiny Polar Bear is hungry, he has been walking on Ice in this CrAzY Negative Space for many miles without finding food at all.
Nowadays, a typical situation for the Polar Bear Population - it is becoming so difficult to survive in the Arctic, which is their natural habitat and Kingdom ...... .

Men' s day was also planned....

Having been in bed for some weeks this year, I was surprised when I got out and about again to find someone had put fertiliser on the base, as it was 5 Meters taller than when I'd seen it last!
I liked the detail of the wiring here, some way up the mast.
