Houston Community College and industry leaders, elected officials and emerging business executives from Stafford are joining forces to solve the workforce needs in the area.
During the Workforce Summit, held Thursday at the Stafford Campus, HCC Chancellor, Dr. Mary Spangler; HCC Southwest President Orfelina (Fena) Garza, Ph.D. and The Honorable Leonard Scarcella, Mayor of Stafford, talked about what Stafford needs and what HCC is doing to fill those needs.

The ESPEAC in collaboration with the Department of Special Services, held their first annual Special Needs Resource Fair. Information about all the local resources to families of children with special needs. We were honored to be joined by many vendors who provided our families with information about extra curricular programs, transition planning, transportation and much more. We look forward to providing this event annually and continuing to expand our network of community partners.
A pink Barbie hot tub, that is. It is wonderful to relax after a long day of socializing, gardening and working on exhausting quests. :)

MoDOT KC invited the public to discuss the draft High Priority Unfunded Needs list for transportation in the Kansas City Region. Projects for Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties were discussed on Dec. 6 at the Mid-America Regional Council. Projects for Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis and Saline counties were discussed on Dec. 7 at the Warrensburg Municipal Court.
