Looking for a home! Puppy abandoned at 7th Ave N. & Monroe St, Nashville TN, on Wed, Feb 21st, 2007.
UPDATE: I'm happy to report that we found a permanent home for the puppy. He went to live with his new family on Saturday. His new name is Bandit.
Some sort of mining equipment that has seen better days. I wonder why the museum hasn't made an effort to restore it or at the very least protect it from further degradation......

The condition of this gate really makes me wonder! I didn't get more than a few steps from my vehicle just in case he decided to do to me what he did to the gate! I added this photo to the map, but I'm not certain of exactly where along the road the farm was.

Identified as Gomphocarpus physocarpus (Apocynaceae). Formerly called Asclepias physocarpa.

I took this picture of a plant in Peru and needed some help identifying it. I figured that it might not be native to Peru as a) it was in the cultivated garden of a hotel and b) it reminds me of a plant I encountered in South Africa. I think the "balls" are hollow and I remember them as being about golf-ball sized, perhaps a touch bigger.
