I absolutely love working with pastels, conte and charcoal. I love the feel on my fingers as I move the materials around the page. And they glow.
This work reminds me of the video for the Massive Attack song 'Protection'. Windows into apartments. Windows that lead to weird and outrageous things.

Support: Recycled paper, has a visible and uneven texture. I have trimmed the edges by hand, and while I have tried exceptionally hard to get them perfect, the nature of the recycled paper has made it hard. Therefore the edges may have a slight unevenness.

During the Workforce Summit, held Thursday at the Stafford Campus, HCC Chancellor, Dr. Mary Spangler; HCC Southwest President Orfelina (Fena) Garza, Ph.D. and The Honorable Leonard Scarcella, Mayor of Stafford, talked about what Stafford needs and what HCC is doing to fill those needs.

'Cause sometimes your Alpine band needs its logo custom-painted on the front of your leader's Tupan shell! This Tupan features a wooden hoop for the bass side with a metal ring on the treble side. "Framed" around the painted band logo is an organic-shaped burned trough so that the dye of the shell color stays away from the paint. The night of Saturday May 23rd. The event was held at Franklin-Parker Preserve nestled in the Jersey pines.
We used 3 light set-ups consisting of 2 1000watt MV lamps, and a 4 foot black light set-up, lighting was sufficient!
We moth-ed a different location at another maintence garage on the south side of the property, known as the "Arpin" area. The weather started off with rain, heavy at times from the edge of a severe thunderstorm to the north. The storm cleared out by around 8:15 or so leaving us with overcast sky's with temperatures in the low 60's
despite the weather start we had a enjoyable evening.
I really like this photo, but it needs to be on a large screen or zoomed-in to get the full effect. Each line and wrinkle seems to have its own story.
