If anybody needs a radar detector with laser shifter sensors, it’s the owner of this Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat! The team at our West Carrollton store recently installed an Escort Passport 9500ci, in this supercharged beast, to give the owner a little advanced warning, for those occasions when the 707HP becomes too tempting. If you could use a custom-installed radar detector of your own, then visit any of our three locations (Beavercreek, North Dixie/Stereo-In-Dash, and West Carrollton/Moraine) to learn more or to schedule your own professional installation.

One needs to remember that it takes more than ponds to raise ducks. There also needs to be good nesting cover nearby. This photo was taken in the heart of the aspen parklands in Alberta, approximately 20 miles NE of the town of Holden, Alberta. There is little nesting habitat in the immediate vicinity of these ponds. However, this photo demonstrates just how much water is available here for nesting waterfowl. Every wetland basin is moist or has water in it. It is some of the best available wetland conditions in this area I have seen in the 26 seasons I have been flying surveys in Alberta. This pic needs some fixing.

Definately a crop. The background needs some fixing (blurring/removal??), oh, and I wouldn't mind looking better ;-) (I'm not the one with the black helmet). The lighting & shadows on my face are doing some weird things.

Thank you for anything you can do - I've tried but can't seem to make it work ....

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture (AKAA) is an architectural prize established by Aga Khan IV in 1977. It aims to identify and reward architectural concepts that successfully address the needs and aspirations of Islamic societies in the fields of contemporary design, social housing, community development and improvement, restoration, reuse and area conservation, as well as landscape design and improvement of the environment.[1] It is presented in three-year cycles to multiple projects and has a monetary award, with prizes totalling US$ 1 million.[2] Uniquely among architectural awards, it recognizes projects, teams, and stakeholders in addition to buildings and people.

The origins of the Souk Waqif date from the time when Doha was a village and its inhabitants gathered on the banks of the wadi to buy and sell goods. The revitalisation project, a unique architectural revival of one of the most important heritage sites in Doha, was based on a thorough study of the history of the market and its buildings, and aimed to reverse the dilapidation of the historic structures and remove inappropriate alterations and additions. The architect attempted to rejuvenate the memory of the place: modern buildings were demolished; metal sheeting on roofs was replaced with traditionally built roofs of dangeal wood and bamboo with a binding layer of clay and straw, and traditional strategies to insulate the buildings against extreme heat were re-introduced. Some new features were also introduced, such as a sophisticated lighting system that illuminates the market’s streets. In complete contrast to the heritage theme parks that are becoming common in the region, Souk Waqif is both a traditional open-air public space that is used by shoppers, tourists, merchants and residents alike, and a working market.

The photographed area was divided into five (5) major facades, one (1) additional facade, four (4) interior spaces and Zone no.6 that is on the southmost corner of the souq next to Arab Bank round about. Please refer to image on file named “AKAA_SW_GEImage_Labeled.jpg” in folder “Documents_Notes”.

California Minority Counsel Program presented the "Even the GC Needs an Elevator Pitch" event in San Diego at the Energy Innovation Center on August 5, 2013, sponsored by San Diego Gas & Electric and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton. Attendees heard from a CMCP panel of experienced attorneys on the value of having a succinct description of what they do. This event was a great interactive opportunity for the attendees to build their legal network while practicing their own elevator pitch in an inclusive, supportive & fun environment.

In Romania Star of Hope is improving the lives of children with special needs.

We are also working to keep children off the streets. We do this, for example, by providing support for various daytime activities for socially excluded children as well as children with special needs.

We also run fitness activities, integration of work and working with the development of parent associations.

Our Christian women’s conferences encourage mothers of special needs children in their faith while providing knowledge and skills on caring for their child.

Through visiting occupational therapists, physical therapists, specialist teachers and others, we provide transfer of knowledge to the Romanian health professionals and authorities that in many areas changed their way of working.

Star of Hope continuously work to improve the publics opinions and attitudes toward children with special needs.
