The Armed Services Blood Program held it's annual Fort Carson, Colorado blood drive September 22 - 24 at the Elkhorn Lodge. The drive was to collect both whole blood mission needs as well as COVID-19 convalescent plasma from those who qualify. The drive was run by the ASBP Fort Bliss Blood Donor Center with support from Robertson Blood Center (ASBP center at Fort Hood, Texas)
We finally got to use the toy frog again! Unfortunately, it's VERY poorly engineered. It needs several standard batteries AND some smaller/watch-type batteries. The main batteries power the legs, the watch batteries power the motion sensor. Very dumb design. So we resurrected it, it worked for about 20 minutes, it died, and we threw it away. But at least we got some pictures and video of it, while it lasted.
We also put the frog's head on the ground, so that it's legs just kicked up in the air (the cats like this, becuase it made it "attack" then more). Basically, Lemonjello loved it, but Oranjello was quite wary of it.

On account of the misty weather we went home via an old favourite of ours. Did something different with the macro and took some familiar buildings in the fog for comparison.
My 5th or 6th visit to this place - some things are getting taken over by nature, kids wrecking it further or metal thieves have been here since the last time.

Dresden is a robust kitty with a plush gray fur coat and big paws with extra toes. He was brought to Lollypop Farm as a stray. Dresden is a busy guy who has lots of kitty things to do and is filled with independence and curiosity. He loves to explore and find all kinds of things to check out. Leo needs urgent dental surgery for malocclusion causing molar spurs and infection - there is also a mass/possible abscess needing to be drained. Additionally, his liver function and renal output needs to be checked, so full blood and urine will be taken. He is in a lot of pain and unable to eat normally, so I am syringe feeding critical care and mush around the clock, as well as administering painkillers and gut drugs as this dental issue inevitably caused his first bout of GI stasis last week. I am fighting to keep him out of it. His diagnostics, sedation, procedure, inpatient care, medication and aftercare is going to cost nearly $2k which I am frantically trying to raise as my boy deserves to live - he is playful, he has a beautiful spirit, he loves life, he loves cuddles, he even gives his vet kisses despite his pain - please help me help my boy. Every cent counts.
