Does anyone else think this kitten looks rat-ish? The behaviour of the cat is a tad off too. Could be a hybrid, heh. Can some zoologist ascertain this?

Canadian Pacific still had about 2 years of their trackage rights agreement with CSX remaining when I lensed X500 splitting the intermediates at Ivanrest back in August of 2008. Though the bulk of the CP trains shifted to an NS routing from Chicago to Detroit in early 2006, CP was still obligated to run a certain amount of tonnage over CSX via Grand Rapids until late 2010. This amounted to one daily eastbound train, X500, that operated from Bensenville, IL, to Windsor, ON with CSX crews. It was typically a single GE, autoracks, a small cut of intermodal, and an occasional smattering of mixed freight.
me: walks into empty sushi restaurant

hostess: "pardon?"
me: (miming taking a picture) "can I take a picture of your cat?"
hostess: "..." (looking at me like she's wondering if she needs to call the cops to take away the crazy lady)..."o-keeeey?"
me: (turning bright red) "thank you!"

Everybody needs a Hit. I remember when you could get these as prizes in those oversized gumball-machine things, for a quarter, and in the late 70s I could still get film for them. I can't recall ever actually taking a picture with one, though...

I love those spur of the moment sunset shoots. I had no intentions of shooting the sunset tonight until about 15 minutes before it set and I had a feeling it would be a good one, by looking at the clouds. I raced over to the reservoir and hurled this massive rock into the water just in time.
I got to spend the weekend with the amazing Rob and Marley and I'll be posting a photo from that soon. I've got a lot of wedding editing to do as well, so I might not be posting much for a tiny bit.
I haven't had time to work on a print giveaway details yet, but I'm thinking I'll get something together soon for when I hit 2500 over on Facebook :)
