We were navigating through the Little Detroit passage, the narrowest part of the North Channel, when a rude dunderhead in a power boat decides to pass at speed. This could have forced the wood hulled Heron Jewel into the rocks of the passage.

John scaling a pile of red lava boulders. These were small, as we had to climb over piles that surpassed 6-8 feet in areas. I'm surprised my flash penetrated the dark here, as it was having issues doing so in the total dark of the cave.

I don't typically love light greens, but this one is perfect. Too dusty to be mint, not so dusty that it's pea soup. Springy and fun.
Note: I applied this Thursday night, and it still looks good Saturday morning. Essie creams + Poshe topcoat (without base coat) seems to be a perfect combination for me. (YMMV)
Also - ever since Meg put the Essie fall mini cube in my GMDS package, I've become addicted to them. I bought myself the winter and spring ones, too! :)
A woman named Sally called me not long ago consulting. I had seen her for a single session in examination months in the past, and also we had chatted concerning a range of restorative and spiritual concerns. Like lots of people with a rate of interest in spirituality, she was questionable of the duty of […]

It is renowned as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, and Aldous Huxley famously wrote of it: "Lake Como, it seems to me, touches on the limit of permissibly picturesque, but Atitlán is Como with additional embellishments of several immense volcanoes. It really is too much of a good thing."
Often called the most beautiful lake in the world, the surrounding mountains and volcanoes give Lake Atitlan a unique ambiance you won't forget anytime soon.

We had breakfast! The residenza carnegio has a great breakfast, and room 201 is the biggest room! the best we've had. There was what Heather took to be an extended family near us-like, maybe siblings and their spouses. probably from germany. It made her wistful about traveling with friends and family.
We took the 52 water bus to lido, got off...if I had known what lido was I'd have got off and walked the few blocks to view the sea! Then we looped back on the 1 to San Marco. And here I had the best experience. I saw a man with a sign, and a lot of pigeons. Suddenly, a pigeon LANDED ON MY HEAD! let me clarify. I was standing there, and a pigeon hopped up and onto my head.
Has a pigeon ever landed on you? If not, go to San Marco square and stand for a moment. I bought a bag of pigeon food, and then had the best time ever.
other parts of italy have been awesome, truly, but having a dozen pigeons on my arms, shoulders, and head, all cooing was pretty snazzy. even pigeonriffic.
We wandered about, and then we successfully navigated to 'spenceshirt' (waypoint) to buy the boy a gondelier shirt. We didn't have the waypoint at the time, and yet we managed to return to our spot!
Summary...boat to Accademia, lunch where Larry and Judy ate, wandered over to the Salvador Dalli exhibit...that would have been the perfect ending to an Italian trip! Sort of surreal and all! But there was a huge line...we saw some sculptures by him, then walked and shopped our way to the hotel.
I watched glass being made, Heather bought glass jewelery, we bought kinky chocolate, and funny hats...
And we wandered down a canal 'I think we are on the alley where the wash was hanging last night" i said. Pround of knowing the left side of the ox from the right. except heather said "that alley was a canal..."
but we made it, and i need to lay down now.
