As you can tell from these photos, Rexx thoroughly enjoyed his nap Sunday afternoon. I am forever grateful that Rexx doesn't take photos of me when I'm sleeping and post them on Flickr :>)

This was the second bird of our Costa Rica trip from earlier this month. We saw many of these Rufous-naped Wrens but they weren’t so easy to photograph because they seem to always be zipping around through the twigs and branches.
We will be doing this trip again next year, if you think you might be interested more information is available here: www.texastargetbirds.com/group-photo-trips/2018-costa-ric...

After a good nap, nothing beats a wake up stretch. The tell tale sign of a good stretch is how far the toes are spread on the paws and how high a butt is in the air! The fuzz on her chin is from pulling out winter fur. Love the foxes of the North!

another record of days in lockdown, we have come to an agreement and now share the table :) (I get the bit without sunshine)
After a fun morning of playing around, it was time for this kit to settle down for a little nap on the hay bale.
Tigger resting/taking a nap on the warm floor mat (connected to the living room heater) in the late morning after a yummy breakfast.
Some of the local whitetail deer herd settling down in our field for a morning nap. There were actually fourteen in the group but only seven of them are shown here. Backyard wildlife.
My DSLR was broken, so I used an old Coolpix P510.
For my dear daughter. She loves ducks :) and she encouraged me to post them.
Many thanks for all your recent kind comments and favourites.
I know.. I have a thing for lavender. I don't know what it is .
I had two naps today so I am behind in my flickring. That is not a typo.. TWO! I also don't feel a bit ashamed about it. I loved it!
Even Canada's top models need a nap now and then, the gosling could hardly keep it's eyes open, and with that I got up and moved away so it could have some rest.
Taking a little break from playing!

Somehow cat piles of 6 just aren't that big looking to me anymore. Most of these cats sleep with me at night too.

Western Sandpiper - Esquimalt Lagoon, Colwood BC.
I had two surprises this day last summer. I had set myself up sitting near the waters edge hoping for a group of sandpipers to come a little closer. Was set-up with my 400 plus a 1.4X TC. They came really close - TOO close! I then VERY slowly removed my teleconverter somehow without spooking them.
They came closer. Then came the second surprise... barely 6 to 8 feet away from me a few elected to have a little nap! Wow! Never before or since have I been this close to the little guys. A great experience. :)
