I absolutely love this lens. Yes, it's cheaply made. Yes, it will break if not handled properly or dropped. Yes, it takes awesome pictures. Yes, this should be the first lens you buy once you get sick of the kit lens.

Found in a pepper tree up Shirttail Canyon on HIghway 146 on the way to the western entrance to Pinnacles National Park. Red in the nape area helps distinguish this bird form the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. After all, it *is* a Red-naped Sapsucker.
I was folding laundry late this afternoon when Evelyn called out, "Mommy, Julia is sleeping." Sure enough, this is where I found her, sound asleep. Turns out she wasn't quite ready to give up her nap today.
When the parents stop for a rest or nap the little one know better then to wander off. If human children were only this obedient.

Sadly, this is what it looks like everytime I go to bed. I did nothing more than set up the camera. They were all there waiting for me. I have no idea what they were looking at though.
Today's random fact: This is a crowded situation when my husband is in bed too.

annie rarely naps in the mornings anymore, having switched over to afternoon naps only...
but when she does, it is because she is simply exhausted, and she is out COLD.
when i peeked in and saw her little foot, i knew i had to take the picture.
(and i was damn glad i finally learned to operate entirely in manual, because flash would have totally been a buzz kill here ;o) )
other than a bit of contrast, this is SOOC. :o)
