Welp. ManikaManila has just announced our Themes (a monthly photo challenge) for January, with the theme of “SPARK”. Figured I might as well shoot mine now while I still have some free time.
Just a little scene, is all. ^_^
From this summer in Bucharest - I spotted this dog napping under a car so of course I called him, and he politely acknowledged me, then went right back to sleep :) This is the second shot, after he decided napping is a lot more productive than interacting with me.
I started making these images with a Polaroid SX70 camera given to me by a friend who found it at a garage sale for 5 bucks. Using any blunt instrument, you could manipulate the TimeZero image after development for several hours before the emulsion hardened. I began making these in about 1999 and by 2005 the film was gone. The new film, Polaroid Originals by the Impossible Project, is a weak substitute and cannot be manipulated.

me and the boy. He's so sofft and warm, I could sleep like this for ages - mostly, however, he wriggles and doesn't want to nap with me much any more.
I finally finished my nap quilt that I started in January of this year. I found just the right backing for it so I was inspired again.
First nap for weeks. He needed this so badly, but now he has slept for so long that bedtime will be interesting.
Oriolus chinensis-The Black-naped Oriole is found in many parts of Asia. the Black-naped Oriole has the stripe broadening and joining at the back of the neck. Males and females are very similar although the wing lining of the female is more greenish. The bill is pink and is stouter than in the Golden Oriole.
