Day One of the December Diary 2013 Project This years Theme... 'Mirror Image Montages'...
Hi guys!!! Well today is the 1st of December....
So that means day one of my December Diary...
I decided yesterday on the theme of 'Mirror Image Montages'... A topic that has fascinated and intrigued me for years!!! If you look closely you will see some subtle differences from one side to the other... there's one obvious one... the others are probably lost in the detail...
My shadow decided she would come out an join me again today too... We've both been in the 'dark' for far too long! %-)
It feels good to be back on Flickr and have something to get me taking photos again! I've not set up an official 'group' for the Diary this year... It all seemed a bit too hard... But you are more than welcome to accompany me on the journey... If the idea takes your fancy and inspiration too!!! %-)

Evening sun on Commercial Drive was highlighting street side patio umbrellas for Cafe Havana.
The Drive grew many street side patios after CODVID-19 changed dining rules.
Appropriately Havana umbrellas are from distiller Havana Club.
The cafe has been a staple on The Drive since 1996 offering Latino food, Cuban cocktails and breakfast.
The company that owns Belgard Kitchen and the Settlement Building at 55 Dunlevy Avenue—which includes Belgard, Postmark Brewing, and Vancouver Urban Winery bought Havana in November 2017.

The Porsche 986 is the internal designation for the first generation Boxster, a mid-engine two-seater roadster built by German automobile manufacturer Porsche. Introduced in late 1996, the Boxster, based on the 1993 Boxster Concept, was Porsche's first road vehicle to be originally designed as a roadster since the 550 Spyder.
Powered by a 2.5-litre flat six-cylinder engine, the base model was upgraded to a 2.7-litre engine in the year 2000 and a new Boxster S variant was introduced with a 3.2-litre engine. In 2003, styling and engine output was upgraded on both variants.
Production of the 986 began at the former 928 facility in Stuttgart, Germany in 1996. Valmet Automotive also manufactured the Boxster under contract to Porsche at a facility in Uusikaupunki, Finland.
The Boxster was Porsche's biggest volume seller from its introduction in 1996 until the introduction of the Cayenne sport utility vehicle in 2003.
The Boxster was released ahead of the more expensive 911 (internal designation 996) and has the same bonnet, front wings, headlights, interior and engine architecture as that model.

I've been SOOO busy at work these past couple of weeks...
Haven't even had the chance for proper lunch breaks...
Let along getting out for a walk with my shadow!
The weather's been pretty patchy too...
She prefers to stay indoors when it's like that!
But today we both were getting a bit of Cabin Fever...
Had enough of feeling 'fenced in'...
Stuck indoors... long days... working late!
So we both decided to slip out for a few minutes...
Stretch our legs and get some fresh air...
The sun was shining too for a pleasant change...
Otherwise I don't think she would have joined me! %-)
Forgive me if I'm a bit slow in catching up at the moment...
but work's been driving me NUTS and swallowing up way too much of my time!!! %-)
Nel giardino di scale
scelte pesanti
come gradini di pietra
Sogni leggeri
come gradini di luce
Niente porte
né cassetti
né strade
Solo scale
una sterminata distesa
Nel mio piccolo innaffiatoio
poca acqua
Ad essa dare tutta me stessa
Salire fiera ogni suo gradino
con sangue caldo
ossa salde
respiro intenso
Morire ad ogni passo
per rinascere al successivo
Lasciare pezzi di me
ad ogni gradino
Ad ogni gradino
ritrovarne altri
Salendo spogliarmi
Salendo rivestirmi
Come il Piccolo Principe
la sua rosa
Io
la mia scala
…
Ardua la scelta
in un giardino di scale
una sterminata distesa…

Ok, the last of the shots from my initial test run of the new iphone the other night. Well, the last that I'm going to share at the moment. This is one of the few moments when it focused properly despite it being a quick shot, taken backhanded as I walked past.
Cheers for all the lovely words on my recent posts peeps, I'll be back a little later to catch up on it all.
