It was beautiful spring day for the 2019 Texas Fort Muste event iat the Stockyards in Fort Worth, Texas. The Texas Forts Muster celebration was created in 2001 to celebrate the heritage of Texas’ Frontier fort settlements, like Fort Worth. The Muster brings together authentic wagons, flags, music, colorful uniforms and military gear from several Texas frontier landmarks, as well as, reenactors, musicians and other folks interested in Texas’ frontier history. The period of time covered by the celebration was the Texas frontier from the days of the early Republic in 1836, through the settlements on the frontier to the closing of the frontier by the late 1890s. I had a great time talking to reenactors and taking photos at the event.
These were all over the ship, helping passengers in case of emergency to find the closest muster station -- with or without their life jackets!

I like to discover colorful patterns in dreary surroundings. At the Marble Arch station there are 8 different patterns and one is more beautiful than the next. This photo I could make through the open door of the subway.
Built in 1854 as the administration building for the Charlestown Navy Yard this building is now used for private office space.
Oversized logo struggles to fit in the frame, at Leipzig's old trade fair centre. I like how the cloud pattern in the sky seems to be orbiting around the Ms, though I wonder if I should have taken the whole shot from slightly further back. Perhaps it is better like this, though, to emphasise how very large these things are - as I am often tempted to say when people inch too carefully through a generously-sized gap, you could get a bus through there (under the arches).
Have you set sail, today or any other?
do you harbour hopes, or fears?
is your port of calling awaiting you?
or, are you drifting out to sea?
we never truly know until afloat
no grass then becomes greener
leaving our emotions upon deck
the stern homes sentiment
and a bow brimming with ambition
both sides of equal feeling
manufactured to survive
from two ports we truly thrive!
