The Imminent Impact Rifle is a weapon that goes slightly off tangent with what the primary arsenal of the Ntryksis has in store. Instead of a physics-defying non-baryonic weapon, the Imminent Impact Rifle is a multishot rifle, utilizing electric cores and an induction motor to generate electricity to blast targets with.
Designed to be part of a secondary arsenal, should the primary non-baryonic based weapons ever fail, the Imminent Impact Rifle is a weapon built to be made easily, yet made to be powerful. Comprised of mostly salvaged parts from disassembled weaponry, and reforged materials, the gun isn't as durable or resilient as the rest of the Ntryksis weaponry. However, unlike other weapons, this weapon doesn't require valuable resources, and hence, can be mass-produced efficiently and quickly.
The weapon, when firing, charges up its energy cores, building up enough electricity and firing it out with immense power, creating an extraordinary muzzle velocity rivaling that of even railguns. The Imminent Impact Rifle fires four shots at once, which, uniquely, has the ability to ricochet off surfaces. It's unknown exactly how this ricochet happens, but studies suggest that the weapon might be firing a projectile along with the electricity.
A scope comes standard with the IIR, which provides a HUD, as well as a holographic artificial rangefinder reticle to assist shooters in picking out targets. Two holographic lines also emit out of the weapon, serving as boundaries in which the projectiles will travel in; these can be adjusted to be in an arc, causing the rifle to turn into a shotgun if desired, or closed to a straight line to make an accurate rifle.

R O G Europhoenix 37608 opens up as it enters Newton Abbot station with the 5L46 09.55 Laira - Ely Papworth Sidings stock movement. A sad sight to see these de-branded recently re-furbished HST coaches being sent for storage. As with the movement six weeks previously with 37510 the working was a few minutes early and so was held outside Newton Abbot station to allow the XC Paignton - Manchester voyager in front. I wasn't sure if there would be any clag and as it emeged from under the bridge the siphon hadn't erupted but with the train already signalled green and a handful of photographers at the west end I think the driver was pretty whipped up to let it rip. I ran off 15 frames on multishot as soon as it clagged and this was the second frame with a fair bit of cropping. The fourteenth frame was nearest the camera with much less clag but has its merits too so I'll post that later . This was a dull morning but thankfully the rain held off for another hour before setting in for the day.
37608 was formerly D6722 new in July 1961 then renumbered 37022. It was a long time Eastern Region Stratford and March stalwart up to 1980 when it was reallocated to Eastfield in January 1981 spending many years on the West Highland line before being reallocated to Thornaby in 1986.

Quite ironic that 37608 and 37510, the two 37s in these last two HST stock movements were both captured in the same photo at Crianlarich back in 1982 !

John Muir: All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God's eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.
The spider above is the male of the species of the shown below, which is a female. He is very tiny and much harder to spot; I think I've only ever found two, both of which are now posted in my stream here.

The drake Shelduck would periodically chase off other ducks of any description (he particularly disliked a male Mallard and a pair of Gadwall).
I found myself changing the camera settings to capture the action, (fast shutter, JPEG only - the camera can't do fast multishot RAW). But after a few minutes nothing would happen, so I'd re-set the camera and take something else like the Bar-headed goose, soon as I did the Shelduck would chase something else off. I did eventually hold out long enough for a couple of shots.
