Happy Halloween...?
A rather brief project of mine. I'm aware that she's not as good as my other stuff has been, but it was still REALLY fun to make her. She uses almost completely parts from 2015/16 Bionicle sets, with some obvious additions (the knife and tires come to mind). Pretty much everything else is from one of the sets. In addition, she's based both off Umarak (rather obviously), as well as the Demon Hunter class from Diablo III (which would be pretty obvious if you've played the game much as them, given their use of crossbows, knives, and tactical traps). I tried to reference as many of the Demon Hunter's abilities as possible, although in the end I only pulled out references to Rapid Fire, Impale, Fan of Knives, Caltrops, and Spike Trap, and Multishot (kinda on that last one, seeing as the bow retains the original function).
That's pretty much it. Not really a full on Halloween MOC, but it seemed pretty fitting and she was a blast to make. I don't think I'll be making any more in these style for a while, but I'm not ruling it out entirely.
Next up is HOPEFULLY finally a villain to contend with all those protagonists I've made recently. The gunslinger is getting impatient, after all.
OH, and before I forget, the foot design credit goes to Meskii/Alieraah. Really simple but hey, I needed tiny heels because Demon Hunter. Don't listen to anybody, it's DEFINITELY 100% practical to fight the forces of Hell in high heels.

This is shot I've been waiting a long time to get! I've visited the location many times over the last year, patiently waiting for the right conditions. With all the heavy rain we've had this week, today was the day! A series of waterfalls tumbling down to the wild coastline below - beautiful! I'm not entirely happy with the shot (it's a panorama created from 5 separate frames), but I've got some good ideas on how to shoot it next time!

This is not a single picture. All four guys are the same. I've taken 4 pictures in burst mode (Canon 350D can take 3 pictures per second) and merged them using GIMP.

Last year I only saw one, one tiny baby one I found on a leaf in my back yard. You may recall the video I made showing its eye movement. I was so thrilled to have finally found one! It was my first.
This year I found an adult male - very exciting! Two adult females, and three or four tiny juveniles, one of which was running around my dashboard controls while I was driving. I was almost to work and kept one eye on it, trying not to have a wreck. When I finally got to work, I had to look for it, but I found it, and then I had to find something to capture it in, which I finally did, and THEN I had to capture it, which I finally did. Now I've put little containers in the car for future incidents like this.
This is one of the adult females.

I went to Galion, Ohio to shoot the district cross country races and got to Amann Park early. The sun was beautifully lighting the trees and the water in the reservoir was like a sheet of glass. I had to pull out my iPhone and capture a multishot panoramic view of the beautiful reflections and fall colors.

This is available to buy from Creations for Charity. This is a variation of the Counterblast Mech I first built in 2009 and recently redesigned for Megan Rothrock's LEGO Adventure Book. This is a lightly armed military variant featuring a ton of silver parts, a nice purple helmeted pilot and some cool guns. It's pretty tough and should survive postage to anywhere in the world!
