My parents were great chucker-outers so I have no childhood stuff. But somehow I ended up with this that belonged to my grandfather. Everyone (not only the family) called my grandmother and grandfather 'Mother' and 'Father' so that's how come the caption.

I had done this drawing traditionally in my sketchbook in the week Leonard Nimoy passed away. I figured he deserved that I put my effort into a tribute, since he was such an important figure in pop culture and in the lives of so many people, who learned so many things with the amazing Spock. He's the synthesis of knowledge, of logical thinking and working towards peace.

Even if we have got into the habit of not looking up every time someone walks through our office (it is a walk-through room, like a corridor), you can still see that there is constant movement. Sometimes it annoys more, sometimes less. That day it annoyed us more.

Selbst wenn wir uns angewöhnt haben, nicht jedes Mal hochzugucken, wenn jemand durch unser Büro läuft (es ist ein Durchgangszimmer, also mehr ein Flur), bekommt man es doch mit, dass ständig Bewegung ist. Manchmal nervt es mehr, manchmal weniger. An diesem Tag mehr.
