Limonium is a genus of 120 flower species. Members are also known as sea-lavender, statice, or marsh-rosemary. Despite their common names, species are not related to the lavenders or to rosemary. They are instead in Plumbaginaceae, the plumbago or leadwort family. The generic name is from the Latin līmōnion, used by Pliny for a wild plant and is ultimately derived from the Ancient Greek leimon (λειμών, ‘meadow’)

Another repurposed build, this time a space ship into a rover.
Another shot taken with the cameraphone, as I was leaving the office around sunset (which is not that late at this time of the year in Finland). Didn't have a better camera with me, which was the cause of no small amount of frustration and anguish, as I tried to catch the unbelievable selection of colours in the sky at once. It failed... so, just take my word for it, it was spectacular. The moon was high above in a patch of dark indigo sky to the left, the horizon looked like it was on fire to the right, and there was a strange greenish-brown glow all around.

Singing and drinking at the same time! Nice light on the day this was taken, can't wait till the weekend but it'll only count if the weathers good, which I bet it won't be, don't know about the composition in this one so any opinions?
Cupcakes with different coloured butterflies.
Just trying out my homemade lighting box. Bit Heath-Robertson but seems to work ok.
I encountered this quite unusual thicket of color in Colorado. I suspect that the bare branches are the remains of a fire and the undergrowth is now taking over.

I did my back in last Sunday so haven't been out with a camera. This was my Christmas present, a mini multi-tool. My back is much better now.
