Mt Etna is one of the most active volcano's in the world and is in an almost constant state of activity. Situated on the east coast of Sicily, it lies above the African plate and the Eurasian plate. It is the tallest active volcano on the European continent, currently 10,922 ft high.

one of my famous UNEDITED, mt. apo shots way back august 16, 2006. this climb was also dedicated to my dad since his birthday was in the month of august.

Part of the base of Mt. Sharp in Gale Crater from Curiosity images. I did some processing to bring out the details that were obscured due to haze in the atmosphere.

Mt Wai'ale'ale' is under the clouds on the right side of the picture. It's rare to see the top of it as it's always raining there. At about 450 inches of average rainfall per year, it's the wettest spot on Earth.

On the flight to Vancouver, BC we got to see Mt Rainer jutting above a blanket of marine clouds.

This shot was taken from the NE side of Mt. Shasta. I just missed the sunrise, but the colors were still amazing.
